If i remember correctly, these error only happen when you uye the downloaded warez version.

Try it with your original cd/dvd without crack !!!

This is a bug that was fixed with a patch after the release, the bug is that if you try to jump into the boat the game crashes back to windows. To fix, install the patch and load a save game before the Society of Leopold quest and all should be o/k.

This is not just in the downloaded warez version but in all versions as it is causes by the script at the end of the map. Hopefully this helps you

1. Create a shortcut to vampire.exe
(Or just right click on the shortcut on your desktop/start menu)

2. In the menu select "Properties" (should be the entry at the bottom)

3. Now a new Menu will appear. Look for something called "Target". There you
should see a path to the vampire.exe file.

4.Write " -console " behind this path, but without the ""
Edit: There appear to be two possibilities to do this. Either:
C:\Vampire\vampire.exe -console or
"C:\Vampire\vampire.exe" -console
You have to enter your own path instead of C:\Vampire if different.

5.Now start Vampire using this shortcut

6.Load the savegame

7. Go near the boat, but not so far that the loading screen appears.

8.Hit "Esc"

9.Press "^" (The key right of the 1 on the keyboard)

10.A console will open. Type:
SaveJohansen() (press enter)
changelevel2 la_hub_1 taxi_landmark (press enter)
( Or as Nosferatu: changelevel2 la_hub_1 sewer_map_landmark )
Take care to get the capital letters right. If you get an "not defined" error
you probably messed up with the spelling.

Note that 99.9999% of all bloodlines owners got this problem and a patch was released to fix it but also try it with your original cd/dvd without crack as well.

Yes it was definately a problem with the original game.
Here (http://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p=256193&postcount=42) it is described a bit differently.

Look at http://www.3dgamers.com/games/vampirebloodlines/downloads/
or at Gamershell (http://www.gamershell.com/).

Some enthusiasts of VBL are decided to correct all possible bugs from this game. They made series of non-official patches for installation on patched to v1.2 game. The last patch was 40Mb in size...

As far as I remember this bug was fixed in the 1.2 update. However, using the crack for version 1.0 puts it back so don't use that! As for the unofficial updates, the game is currently at version 2.1a; see http://patches-scrolls.de for a download.
