Hello there,
I have followed precisely the steps to apply the reloaded patch for the game, however when I try to start playing I get a message that the file protect.dll cannot start and check it to see the problem and thus, the game won't run. I use Windows ME (not XP), could this be the main reason?
Overall, I have a P4 3,2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and a GeForceFX 5200 graphics card

Doesn't work under Win98 SE either! No message about protect.dll if you run it from the shortcut, but if you run the 'Worms 4 Mahem.exe' you get that message.

Maybe they used an API from XP so it's not compatible?

I guess you are right, because almost everyone uses XP...
Hope this compatibility issue is solved someday

Looks like upgrading to XP, support for Win98/Me is not the platform for crackers nowadays it seems!

With the classic theme and all graphical bullshit disabled, Windows XP looks remarkably like good old Windows 98. And is much much more stable! (Says someone who is not at all into always using the very latest Windows - read: doing extended beta testing on it for Micro$oft -, thus has switched to Windows XP only a year ago! ;))
