Quake 4 - No Sound

Hey Everybody,
When I use a cracked .exe file, Quake 4 doesn't have any sound. I haven't played it with the CD because I lost it so I'm wondering if there is something corrupted about my install, or if the cracked exe I'm using is screwed up. What do you guys think?

how can you lose your precious original??
contact the publisher for a replacement disc.
