I need some advise on a laptop screen there is a white line on the left of my sreen, is this caused by the inverter? This line is very thin and crosses top to bottom.

Ouch, could be worse i suppose, it could be that annoying green dead pixel bang in the middle.

But then again a perfect straight line sounds weird..

Does the white line show before booting into windows when you start the laptop? If yes then its hardware damage. If no then its good chance its software related.

poo, the only way to fix dead pixels is to buy a new screen, can't be repaired :(

Thanks was hopeing the inverter was the culprit, I do have an x-tra
