Man, i have an unusual prb. I have SP 2 original dvd and i wanna make a backup cause its already kinda dirty/scrached. Heres the prb: Ive tested it and theres no protection, only that insert cd string, so ive made an image with alcohol120 an burned it to an blank dvd, but when i insert that dvd nothing happens, the dvd its like emty but its not, its clearly visible that 2gigs is used. Ive tried on an RW dvd (same manufacture) and voila, the dvd is working, and then ive made a copy after the RW dvd on an DvD+r (same manufacture) and tha same problem like the first, the dvd appears emty. So whats the prb ?
how can i make a copy after that god ....... game ?
srry for my bad english
Well they dont want to make it that easy to copy a game :)
There is plenty of splinter cell 2 threads, showing how to back up or use a crack.
Unless you meant Splinter Cell 3 with Starforce?

I wanna make this : i want to replace the exe within the setup archive with the fixed exe from GCW and then burn a dvd with the game, i always make this to my games, but i cant find the exe in that .cab archive that ive copied to my hdd from tha original dvd, anyone knows how to extract that two files and replace them with the fixed files.

Sometimes the exe's arent in the cabinet files..
Try looking for a data folder see if its in there.
Thats the best I can offer you, since I dont have Pandora Tomorrow.

Can some1 tell me a good an' easy t0 use Cabinet files manager, cause i use i6comp but i dont like working w/ commands.
thx
@doohoodogg - the best archiver for InstallShield packs is surely WinPack 3 (don't mistake with other WinPack programs, LOL) which you can get here: http://snoopy81.ifrance.com/snoopy81/en/winpack.htm
just my remark - even starforce 3.6 on splinter cell 3 was confirmed to work properly on a dvd+rw disc so it's probably a glitch of the protection from which you can make use
