Method found by Cedric128Fr:

1. If you have DAEMON Tools installed on your PC, uninstall it.
2. Shutdown your PC and unplug all CD/DVD drives.
3. Boot the PC in safe mode , and uninstall every CD/DVD drivers.
4. Reboot in normal mode, always without CD/DVD plugged, and install DAEMON Tools 4.x.
Your virtual drive need to have the letter next to the one of your HDD. (necessary !!)
5. Shutdown the PC again and plug the CD/DVD Drive.
6. Boot the PC and let Windows install the CD/DVD Drive.
7. Mount a sf iso with DAEMON Tools, install and play :D

Tested with:
Prince Of Persia The Two Thrones (StarForce 3.6.10.6) --> OK
Peter Jacksons King Kong (StarForce 3.6.10.6) --> OK
TTrackmania Sunrise (StarForce 3.4.71.19) --> Bug
Cross Racing Championship 2005 (StarForce 3.4.76.0) --> Bug

Well... try it. Then you'll know if it works or not.

I don't think there's any new information in this mini guide.

I think the key in this guide is to make the drive letter of the virtual CD/DVD-ROM the lowest, before the physical CD/DVD-ROM drives. However, 1) you can change the letters of physical CD/DVD-ROM drives much easier (WinXP: Disk Management; Win98: Device Manager) and 2) it is mentioned in DABhand's mini guide in the FAQ subforum (and I'm still not convinced that it would be necessary... perhaps, only for older games?).

*Before you read the INSTRUCTIONS on how to bypass the cd-check , be AWARE that executing the processes may damage your system and is known to disable your HDD from read access during startup boots , and can throw your PC into BSOD if not used properly *

--there is a working tutorial for Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory and i have to assume that it will work for other starforce protected games ... i found this on a p2p searching for a no-cd for Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory ...
