C&C Generals Online problems

Hey, i'm a new member, and i realise this subject has probably been brought up quite frequently, but i really want to get to the bottom of this, for pride mainly. Hope you can help, thanks;)

I have once owned my own copy of C&C Generals, and it is still installed. My problem is that my disk has snapped, and i'm trying to save myself the money of buying a new copy. I have already downloaded a game.exe nocd file and exchanged it with my old one, which means i can now play single player without the cd. But, my main interest in the game is the online function, i have also installed and tried different patches, and also tried a reccomended game.dat file, which didn't let me load my game at all.

I would really like to save myself the money of buying a new copy, and have the pleasure of getting online to work without one. Help would be much appreciated, thanks....

Nope its impossible to play on EA's servers since your exe file does not match with latest filesize/checksum.


To play online you have to have your original. Unless its a private server/lan, and I dont know if there are any patches for this.

ok, but if i borrow a copy off a friend and re-install it, then use the nocd crack, might that work?

Because the problem i have is that i changed my serial number with a keygen by accident, before hand i had a working serial.

or try to contact EA and ask them for a replacement disc.

Ok, firstly before you say anything else read the Forum Rules (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=54193)!
Then come back and tell us how many of those rules you have broken? ;)
