Ok, I am having some problems with my game, FEAR.

When I played the game, sometimes it would not start and give me a message like "Game CD could not be authenticaded or found.". If I tried once or twice more, the game would start. Now, it will not start up at all and keep giving me that error over and over.

Out of frustration I went to GCW and DLed an image of FEAR and mounted it and followed what the site said to get it working. I used AntiBlah and mounted the MDF but then a message came up saying "Security modual could not be found. Application will not start." I tried a few more times and still, the same message. I uninstalled and reinstalled FEAR with my disk but when I ran it, the message came up again!

I dont know what to do at this point. I did an EXE replacement that allows me to play the game in single player but every time I try to play a multiplyer game, it gives me a message saying "Invalid Resources" or something of the sort. Any help??

CD Authentication problems are for the publisher to sort out, it's them that wanted the stupid protection on in the first place!

As for the 'Security Module' issue it's usually down to some Virtual Drive, CD/DVD Emulator or blacklisted software running. Try SR7Stop and Starforce Nightmare instead to disable your CD/DVD drives. If you are mounting in Daemon Tools 4 then SR7Stop won't work so just try disabling your CD/DVD drives in Starforce Nightmare after mounting the image in Daemon Tools.

Multiplayer, did you copy over the cracked EngineServer.dll from the 1.02 crack? Not sure if this is 100% working though for online, even using a legit CD KEY.

I may just have to disable one of the "fake" DVD drives that I used to mount the game with. When I unmounted, the drive still read as a DVD drive. I will try that.

Yes, I did, and my CD Key is legit. Would a reinstall fix this?
