Try giving Killbox a go. It should delete file successfully.

1°)Restart the computer , select the file with only one clic than use right shift key and del key.

2°)If (1°) doesn't work, restart computer and enter in securimode with F8 and remake the same as 1°).

3°)If (2°)doesn't work, remove and save all other files from the main folder that contain your file.
Open a MS-DOS command
(windows\start menu\programs\accessories\system tools\MS-DOS command) and write after "
C:\documents and settings\"User Folder">CD..
than press <ENTER> obtain
C:\documents and settings>(and rewrite an other time) CD..
than press <ENTER> obtain
C:\>(write now) CD<space> and the exact path of your folder that contain the file.
Exemple:
C:\>CD Program Files\Downloads\hot folder\Folder with file (than press <ENTER> obtain)
C:\Program Files\Downloads\hot folder\Folder with file>
Now Write: DEL<space>*.*
Confirm with O for french Oui or Y for english yes or Y for German YA.
(Dont write <space> use REAL space key!)

4°)If (3°) doesn't work, let the ms dos command open and Press "Ctrl+Halt+sup(or del)" search explorer.exe in the list and shut their down now remake process 3°) with ms-dos command

5°)If (4°) doesn't work!!!!!! FORMAT C:\ or buy a new computer
have fun and happy new year

Hope can help & sorry i know my english is poor.

A 800MB file. I guess it is an image file and it is mounted on a virtual drive, so you cannot delete it. Unmount and delete.

If the above is wrong, you should try the above mentioned solutions, or get a tool called "unlocker" (google for it).

This happened to me a couple of times, all you have to do is enter "safe mode" and delete the offending file.

Try Unlocker:

http://ccollomb.********/unlocker/

This also helps in deleting those files locked by another process.

if u can't delete this file try to boot in safe mode with command promt.

search the file and try to delete with the "del" command (before must search the specifid folder in which this file r stored)

DO NOT START THE EXPLORER!!!!

This is probably the best application that can solve your problem. But it has a small glitch, if you burnt/copied that 800 MB file to some removable disc(k), it may screw up looking for that removable media/drive.

Like said above, boot up in safe mode and delete it. If it says that it is being used by another program, then it is probably being used by explorer itself. This usually happens when people try to run a file as if it were an executable.

-In Safe Mode-
1. Press ctrl+alt+delete to open task manager.
2. select explorer and do an "end task"
3. Since explorer is closed, you cannot use windows explorer. You have to use command prompt.
4. In the task manager, click [file]->[new task]. Enter "cmd" and run it.
5. Navigate to the file and delete it by "del /f filename".

edit: didn't see how old this was :p

Thatīs much to complicated try
1.copylock or
2.moveonboot or
3.Amok Delaydel.

I personally use moveonboot and have made good experiences. If u are an experienced user use one of the above mentioned solutions.:D
