Back ups not working with System Upgrade

Hello,

I have quite a few backups for my childrens computer, which I don't want to have to reimage. These used to work with their old system but now with the new system the CD/DVD Rom shows them as having an empty disk.

Any ideas?

If these are just flash type games that you d-loaded from the net try cleaning the disc and make sure you really backed something up on the disc. If they are regular retail games then your probably better off installing them from the original disc since alot of software will require registry entries to work properly on you OS. If your using a different operating system than what you had on your old system its possible that the game might be incompatable with your new OS. If your sure there is really something on the disc and you tried cleaning it and the drive still can read it then I'd check the drive to see if its still funtioning properly.

Same Operating system, all the games worked before. Disks are all clean. New motherboard and new Dvd/CDRW instead of CD/CDRW.
