I have a normal dvd that is a dvd 9 like a brand new dvd i just bought. I bought war of the worlds that just came out and I only only have a dvd 5 so what would be the best way to back up the movie on to the dvd 5 and get the best quality possible.
If you only want to back up the main movie title, and not all the other extras etc, then use the latest version of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. When using CloneDVD2 only choose to copy the title.
That way you should go close to getting a perfect picture quality.
But if you want to copy the whole DVD then you probably wont find anything that will give you a decent picture quality!

So do i need to use both of these programs or how does it work. Can I get a little more detail or is there a tut. Also I'm really only interested in the main movie. I would like it to play in my dvd player also. Thanks for the help. Do I need to rip the main movie to my computer for best results. Thanks

One our mods had a tutorial but it was basicallly for copying the entire dvd. That is a link he used in his post.. It should explain the basics of CloneDVD2
Read that and if you still have questions fire away.. One of the best ways to learn is to get your hands dirty.. Have at it.
