Make a folder on Hardrive and name it: FARCRY_1 (This will be the name of the DVD)
Starting from CD5 then CD4, CD3, CD2 and lastly CD1 copy all folders and files
to this newly created FARCRY_1 folder. This will leave the correct ‘Autorun.inf’ untouched.
Overwrite anything else that doubles up.
Download the program ‘ORCA.MSI’
Go to the ‘Far Cry.msi’ file and right click it and go to ‘Properties’ and untick the ‘Read Only’ attribute.
Then click OK.
Right click the ‘Far Cry.msi’ again and from the menu choose ‘Edit with Orca’
When opened you will see 2 window panes, go to the ‘Tables’ one on the left and scroll down to ‘Media’
Click on ‘Media’ this will show you the entries in the Right pane. There will be 6 columns.
Change all the entries in the ‘VolumeLabel’ column to FARCRY_1
Then ‘Save’ it.
Create another folder for the Updates, Serial, Patches and or Cracks etc. Name this folder whatever you want.
Now burn to a DVD using the Label FARCRY_1.

If the disc is physically damaged, you can try the "toothpaste method" (search for it). If it's copy protected then the point will be that you wouldn't be able to make a backup of it even if it was physically intact. So, you should rather make a copy, if you can, with a simple CD/DVD copier program and then you can install from the backup and use a crack (not the physical one on the disc! ;)) to play the game.

For imaging amd/or copying protected CD's/DVD's, you can try CloneCD for older games but Alcohol 120% is the best for older as well as the newest games.
