hello ,
well i dont know what to say but i can say this much is that i have read various forums and also the threads over here but i fail to understand is why create so much fuss about a game which normally runs anyway .
i installed suffering 2 , king kong , prince of persia the two thrones , installed alchol latest version , demon tools 4 , anti blax 1.18 ,
strange but my pc seems to run star force games without disconecting any drives etc , i just icopy the image to the hard disk and play via dt4.
believe me i have tried this numerous times and the game riuns without any problem.
but all the rest of my friends are unable to do so , WHY ?
maybe i think its the chipset on the motherboard or something.
i have an msi 945p neo platnium mobo , and so far all star force games , securom 7 games run without any problems the first time .
all images i have made from original DVD with alchol .
any one out there with the same board may be he can verify this .
for your information ............p.s i am unable to play splinter cell chaos theory coz i think my image is not right .
cheers

What chipset is this motherboard based upon? Isn't it accidentally an nForce chipset?
ATI (RS480IL in my case) do this as well.

 accidently or you mean incidently ?

same here - if u able to make a good backup (with correct dpm) info u can play with ur backup (image only) by mounting the image with dt 4.0...
i can't test prince of persia t2t because the game isn't released in germany yet.
but when... :D :D - i'll add information to my signature :D

Yes, "incidently", I guess. Sometimes my lexical English is insufficient and I'm too lazy to use a dictionary. ;)

The Game is released since yesterday!
I also noticed that the better quality image you make, the less troubles you run into, I don't use alcohol soft though, I never had much luck with it....BlindWrite seems to make perfect iso's everytime...

Anyone can confirm that the quality of backups made by Blindwrite is better than of those made by Alcohol 120%?
Blindwrite has good topography reading and writing, but that depends on the protection being used, its crap for SF3 games.

Releasedate in Germany is the 08.12.2005 and I have the game @ home. I find it very difficult to start the game with starforce and serial.

I can also play any starforce protected game (legally owned) without unplugging or disabling anything. I just create an image using Alcohol 120% (high precision DPM, 4x speed) on my hard drive from the original DVD/CD then mount it using Daemon Tools 4 and installing/playing from there.
NOTE: My PC has an nforce3 mobo (Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939) with an Athlon64 cpu. The hard drive is alone on the primary ide channel, DVD+RW and CD-RW drives (both are LITE-ON drives) are on the secondary ide channel.
Yeah fine for you, if you have Luck like you and have a Nforce 3 or 4 board it CAN be , that you don't have to Physical Disconnect your Drives, but this is rather random as it seems.
Users with such boards should try this, but if the games fail to run, i would pull the cables and try it again.
IVE not got an nforce board and I can play games without taking out the power connectors to drives.
I just disable them in Hardware Manager.
EDIT: Cant even spell right lol "if" tut lol
If not got an nforce board and I can play games without taking out the power connectors to drives.
I just disable them in Hardware Manager.
Same here, with an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (NForce 4 Ultra)

Hi
i dont understand what the mobo have to relevance with the protection game,,,
just mount the game (king kong) use anti-blaxx DT-4 alchole 120 image disconnect the cd/dvd from power and you good to GO ! ;)
The relavance is that the motherboards in question use an IDE controller which cannot be directly addressed by the SF drivers. What this means is that they are unable to attempt to reactivate drives which have been disabled either via the BIOS or via Windoze device manager. This means that all that is necessary is to disable the physical CDs via device manager and away you go. (People with SATA HDDs like myself may not even need to do this, seems to depend on the exact mobo)

same here, can run prince of persia t2t without disconnecting anything. just mounting image in dt4, works. strange enough that german version of THE FALL LAST DAYS OF GAIA doesnt work here using this method, even if its starforce version is about a year older. it also doesnt work when disconnecting drives, so i think its because i made the image by myself and have got a bad mds file.
well about disconnecting drives; i got a notebook ;) dont know which chipset.
wat mini image do you all dl from? i dl from gamecopy but it cannot be mounted in my daemon tool be it 3.47 or 4. It says that the file or directory is corrupted or unreadable...

You mean the files/directories ON the mounted mini image are corrupted? So what, you don't expect all the data from the CD to be on a MINI image, do you? ;)
thanks alot & hope fore more
How to play King Kong Backup any CRACk is out yet to Beat StarForce 3 :(
