There is a new type of protection I encountered when backing up my son's movie Madagascar. It is called "MacroVision RipGuard". I used DVD Shrink with AnyDVD running in the background. I kept getting cycling redundency errors. I then decided to take it old school and open up my VoBBlanker. That worked fine and I was able to successfully back up my movie. The following week Slysoft figured a way to bypass this type of new protection in their latest 11/27/2005 update.
Thank goodness because my son is four years old and he keeps putting cd's and DVD's into the toaster. I guess when I made a coaster once he thought I said "toaster" and has been sticking cd's and DVD's into the toaster ever since.
