Ok guys :) Talking about and instructing others on how to use the patched HDL will be allowed. Just no download links please :) . Its up to each of you to find the software yourself. There are alot of benefits to using this patched software. Hope you guys enjoy it and happy gaming :).

Big thumbs up to Spedmetal for bringing this subject to our attention as well :) .

I use a patched HDL myself. Using Crystal chips I boot HDl from memory card on 2 different consoles each using a 300gb harddrive. It recognizes them as 278gb. All of my currently played games are loaded on HD. Its great, I never swap or load from the tray, just turn the console on, It boots HDL directly from memory card, I select a game and play :) Life is good :)

I also use the patched HDL. Its very nice to have it on the memory card. I boot HDL from the memory card with the Matrix Infinity in Dev1 mode as well as the Crystal Chip from the Crystal Chips Boot Manager. Its very nice to have a single menu to pick which game you would like to play and not have any disc in your PS2 at all.

Yes you can use the Apple Pro with the patched HDL. However you will have to use it from a burned CD-R because the Apple Pro does not have Dev1 mode like the MI and CC chips do. The patched HDL does provide the ability to use HDL with out a memory card... that it provide by a chip with dev1/dev2 mode.
