I know that there are many topics about this game, but I don't know what to do. An error "A requiered security module can not be activated.This program can not be executed" occurs when i try to run the game. I tried everything, and don't know what to do.I know that Anti-Blaxx, SR7 Hide and Virtual CD/DVD Hide procedures and it's still doesn't working! Can somebody help me?

Yeah another topic does exist. And set the exe to windows 2000 and it should go away.

I have win2000 compat mode activated and I'm also getting this particular error message about a missing "required security module" .

I think this should be made a sticky the information im about to say.

That msg will only show when the protection detects something like Anti-Blaxx, Sr7Stop, Anti-Blehh etc running in the background.

Once you use Sr7Stop or similar to hide the virtual drives, close the program and then try running the game.

Didn't realise it couldn't run out of the task bar. That did the trick. Grats.

Have the mounted DVD image using a program such as Alochol 120% or Daemon Tools, and then use a protection hiding program such as sd4hide to die the virturally mounted image, and u should be able to run the game just fine :)

Do you have any other emulation programs, like AnyDVD running?

markoca

I dont just mean just AnyDVD, other products also, you may have to uninstall CloneDVD and/or any programs like AnyDVD, for example DVDfab.

If it still doesnt work, do this as a last chance.

1. Goto Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Disk Management

2. Change the Drive letter of your real CD-rom drive (or DVD-rom/rw) to a letter above your emulated drive. For example, if you only have 1 hard disk and 1 cd-rom and 1 emulated drive, change D: to F: You can do this by right clicking on the left tab of each drive and going to Change Drive Letter and Paths

3. Change the emulated drives' drive letter, to the lowest available letter (which was your cd-roms letter), so in the example before E: becomes D:

4. Now change your real cd-roms' letter to the next lowest, like in this example F: to E:

5. This will have your virtual drive first in the chain and your real one 2nd.

6. Disable your real drive in the device manager, to do this, right click My Computer and goto properties, Hardware and then finally device manager. You will see a list of hardware open up the CD-roms section and right click on your real drive there and disable it.

7. Mount image on virtual drive

8. Run any hiding tools you use, and once enabled, close it!

9. Close anything else that is running like Anti-Blaxx, Anti-Blahh, etc

10. Close Daemon Tools from the taskbar (must be Daemon Tools 4)

11. Run game

@DAbhand: Okay, the key elements in your guide are the following:
- The emulated drive should have a lower letter than the real one.
- Disabling the real drive in Device Manager is enough, no need to physically unplug it.
- Don't have any hider software running (but this rules out e.g. Anti-Blaxx, right?!).
- Use the new version 4.x of Daemon Tools rather than the old version 3.47.

Can you, please, confirm? Also, are you sure any or all these key elements are necessary? Or these are just some ideas to try and you're not sure if any of them will help at all? Thanks!

Yep thats basically it, ive tried it with Need For Speed MW yesterday and it worked a treat. Seeing as people are having lots of problems with that also.

And to show it works, I used the latest image on GCW to get it to work.

i think they're ideas, the shifting the drive letter so the virtual one is the 'first' in the chain is an old one, and i doubt very much its really of any use

Try these instead:
- use the new Daemon Tools 4.x for mounting the mini image;
- do NOT set Windows 2000 compatibility;
- A) hide Daemon Tools with SecuROM 7 Burner Loader and EXIT SecuROM 7 Burner Loader afterwards (!); or B) don't use any emulator hider software;
- play the game;
- unhide Daemon Tools with SecuROM 7 Burner Loader.
