I have managed to play from my hard drive image backup of King Kong by unplugging optical drives and mounting the image with Daemon Tools 4.00. But the problem is I had to convert a drive to NTFS to allow the 4.3 GB image to reside in it. Its such a terrible waste of space. So I was looking for any mini image for the DVD version of the game. That would help me a lot.
I tried to search Gamecopyworld for King Kong but the search returned empty result. I've tried a number of mirrors without any luck. So I'll be grateful if anyone could provide me with a direct link to the Gamecopyworld page for Peter Jackson's King Kong (if there is any yet), or guide me to a source where I can procure a mini-image for the game.
Thanking in advance.

I got King Kong to work, this is what I did:
Made an image with alc Used the "SF123 profile" and "set DPM to high", measure speed at 8x.
Then Shutdown and disconnect all the drives (CD-DVD).
Open SFNightmare and "disable node"
Then mount with D4 and enable all emulation features.
Play the game
Note: sometimes these techniques may very due to different configurations (hardware+software). Best of luck;)
I can't burn the disc :( the progress bar reaches 70% and stops

You only need the image to run the game anyway;)
You could do the CD-DVD conversion found on this very site, for a backup of the game to be on disc; its very easy, well, if you have a DVD burner that is.
I've tried evreything NOTHING WORKS :(

just buy the game if its that much hassle trying to get it to run. all you do is pop the disc in your drive and hey it plays !
Everyone here should have bought their games here anyways :P

If you cant get it to work, definitely chuck in the original, why go through all that pain.
I like to back up my games for several reasons, safety, I go away a lot and take a laptop and don’t wont to risk losing, damaging or melting (lol) my games and well, because I can;)
You should really buy a copy first. Try before you buy are often called demos
Yeah that is what demo's are
You dont download one or buy a pirated version to try it out. Tis stealing whatever way it is worded by the droves of children. lol

huh? which file???
... i think it's better for u to look for a english dictionary :D
@XdaywalkerX
I presume 'kelonus' is asking for the NoCD crack for King Kong? He has taken the lazy way to ask and used the thread title for his reference.
Its just all one big guessing game. ;)
You have to disconnect Cd/Dvd drives and disable node in SFN BEFORE you mount the image in Daemon 4. My pc kept rebooting until I realized you have to have the image unmounted (all my other starforce games just remain mounted in the virtual drives) and only mount last before clicking 'play'. Try it -it might work for others too. (I realize this sequence is already posted but usually it doesn't make any difference so I think other people might be making the same mistake I :p was).

Got it working :-D
Installed with DT4
*Disabled optical drives in bios
*Disabled ide controllers in device manager (would not work unless I disabled this as well)
Turned on all emulation options on DT4
Ran the game
I have an abit nforce2 board with nforce2 ata controller drivers version 2.6, my harddrive is Serial ATA.
Hope this info helps
*make sure u disable both

Your hard drives are not SATA so if u disable your ata contoller it will disable your hard drives, so try and disable your optical drives ONLY. But results are not guaranteed.
If this does not work try this programme http://www.farstone.com/home/ensite/products/virtualdrive.shtml
I have not used it but apperantly it offers a funcion called Enable/Disable IDE CD-Roms, they say that their software supports StarForce 1-3 !!!

Please, read the FAQ as it now contains pretty much all the tricks, mentioned in threads of this forum. (If you have some more, write them up in a new thread of the FAQ subforum. Thanks!)
