hi guys, i have backed up my dvd for myst v, (used nero).

as i see on here it is a prob for many to get it to run cos of the securom 7 protection.

i have downloaded things mentioned here like gamejackel, daemon tools and antiblax, but how the hell do i use them to get me backed up game to run????
also what is meant by an 'iso' immage? is that the temp file the system places on the h drive prior to burning?

my system is a p4, with win xp pro.

i ran the disks (origional and copy) through filecompare and it shows the copy to be exactly the same.

many thanks for any help

Why not use the NoDVD crack on GCW, it's a lot easier!

I downloaded the 4.7 Megabyte one, it RAR-tests without problems. Download the latest release of RAR, http://www.rarlabs.com !

just my luck..... F^@# it, loaded my backed up copy of Myst v, replaced the eoa.exe file with the downloaded one and fired it up..... it still asked for the origional disc to be inserted.

what have i done wrong?

@stkh
the exe is possibly only a 'Fixed.exe', meaning you will need to have a backup CD in the drive to play. It may not be a proper 'NoCD.exe'?
