I've bought Need For Speed Most Wanted Black Edition, and I want to play it on my 2 PC simoultaneously! How can i do it???
The game is protected with Safe Disc 4.60...
Can someone help me?
How can I "hide" my "not-original image" or how can i "crack" the game?
Sorry for my bad english! :p
PS: "SafeDisc4 Hider" doesn't work...

Well, buy another copy. Unless the EULA says so, you're not allowed to play one copy on multiple PC's at the same time.

OK
And If I want to use a back-up cd to protect my original cd from dangers??? :p
How can i solve this situation?? :p
Thanks :D
Its the same protection as Civ 4 so you should be able to create a mini image with Alcohol

You can create a full image using safedisc profile in alcohol and then mount it into daemon tools and then use safedisc 4 hider - it works coz i tested it.

NFSMW use SafeDisc 4.60 protection, so you can't make mini image for it, just maxi image, same for SecuRom 7 games.
To make a backup of the original:
Put disc1 in your drive.
Open alcohol latest version.
Choose SafeDisc 2/3 setting.
Choose speed 4x.
Mount the new image with Daemon Tools v4.00.
Play.

I have a problem......i mounted the image with FantomDVD and ran the sdhider but it didn't work. I was told i need to use daemon tools 4 to mount for it to work. The only problem is that i have Win XP 64 which is not supported by DTools 4....so im stuck ~80(

There's a thread called exactly "how to make a maxi image"; next time, use the SEARCH button.

Ohhhhhh I did:
Yes, Windows file compression should take care of the huge size of maxi images. But, remember, it works on NTFS drives only.
Sorry, but that doesn't say much about the process that I would have to go through in order to make a maxi mini image... Saying that windows file compression will take care of it means nothing to me, and probably to many people on this board... I would however really appreciate it if you gave a little more detail, and please remember that some of us do use the search button, and I understand that this may be a little off-topic, and I apologize, but it's not fair of you to assume that I haven't already... so please, feel free to elaborate on the other thread as well, but this time with a little more detail...

I tried to create a maxi image:
Created a normal image from CD 1 => image is accepted by NFSMW/SD4. :)
Zeroed out the data part => "Insert correct CD" :(
Restored the image => image is accepted again (wasn't luck or random)
Zeroed out just the content of the big ZIP file "0_compressed.zip" => "Insert correct CD" :(
The error message appears quite quickly, so SafeDisc shouldn't have done a CRC check.
Does SafeDisc check the data with a kind of spot tests?

Whoops, sorry then, I guess that that thread needs a bit of update. See the "how to make your own mini image" thread then. To get a maxi image, just don't abort the image making process of Alcohol 120% (that would give you a mini image). Good luck!

@tomatomanz
It means your image is bad. MDS file didn't match with the MDF one.
Don't know why, maybe it's not the original cd you have..................
@XtremeX
Oups, yeah i forgot, it's cos my cd/dvd drives are almost always unpluged, so i don't need it. :)
@Kanalradde
New safedisc 4.60 check the size of the data on the disc, it's why we can't make mini image anymore.
But i never make a maxi one, prefer making a backup instead, i like to beat protection by myself. :D

Cant be.. coz i tried making image of my RavenShield game, and i get the same error..
Btw, both my NFS : MW and RavenShield are original games
Any other ideas guys?..

Thanx for the info bro, but how do you make that into a mini image then? Do you compress it somehow, possibly using windows compression as you said in the other thread? :(
Anymore info would really help here :)

And then I can play without CD or image?
if game companys intended us to play the games with out the cd then they would have supplied them with the game

Disks are merely a medium for distributing the software, once installed it should be put in a secure place.
But this isn't possible as it is needed to run the software, not for any data on it, but to check that you have it.
So the point of this is to make it possible to run the software and keep the original in a safe place....not as intended.
Daemon Tools V4... have i more to say... NO
Im fed up with all these goody two shoes peeps crying "warez fiend hunt him down", unless the peeps asking for help admits he had a warez copy, you should assume its legit, after all EVERYONE uses warez, just not allowed to talk about it here.
Ok now ive got that of my chest, using a disk in rom tray alltime is so year 20th centuary like Star Wars Racer etc, i have lots of games and i cant be bothered to swap disks all time, i got 4-5 games installed which is dumb as i should finish 1 at a time i know lol.
Quake 4 new patch removes need for disk so did Unnreal 2004 Tour patches long ago.
If you got a big HDD like me and dont mind giving home to a 2-4gig image then simple make image of your game with say alcohol (im told iso buster or ultra iso will too) cause game aint protected that much for making copy yo HDD, its when you try to burn the protection makes a coaster, FarCry was first to do this that i came across, i had to back up my original (incase of lose/damage) keeping the ISO i made as data on a dvdrw, if i tried to actually burn the ISO as a game it would not install.
I have 5 games i installed as i aready have said so it would be PIA to change rom alltime, and no matter what any anal peeps say, the rom trays through time scratch the disks, i would have though times would have changed and media would be sat in tray label side down or a rubber /foam seal on tray to cushios disk (bet we have all ejected a tray at one time and the media is still spinning/skuffing on the tray.
If you install the New Daemon Tools 4 then Virtual CD hiders like SR7Stop and Virtual CD Hide stop working, at least for me!
You have to use the old Starforce Nightmare to disable your CD/DVD drives instead of the virtual CD hiders.

Maxi images can only be made on DVD's "for now". I am ****ing around with the bugger to make a maxi image from a CD, and I am having some success. Expiriment a bit with what can be 00'd out and what not, you will see what I mean.
i get a direct x problem, where it says i dont have it installed. i have direct x 9c so i dont know what the problem would be...it say i have to download the latest version and it closes.
any ideas?

That's a little cryptic, don't you think, rendari? I mean, if you would be so kind as to tell us what's needed to be 00'd out to make a maxi image, we'd all be a lot wiser, and bugging you a lot less, now wouldn't we? ;)
I wish someone would just give us a straight, step by step, answer of how to make a working mini maxi image, and the tools required...
Do it my way.
Get a full image of a game that a maxi image is out for.
Compare the full image to the maxi image.
And congragulations, you can now make a maxi image with a DVD.
Its harder for a CD tho because the ****er checks for weak sectors implanted in the middle of the CD.
If you accidentally 00 out those weak sectors *bam* "Incorrect CD...".
So, pretty much, I am working on figuring what it checks for in the CD, and trying not to 00 that out.
google sd4hide.exe
it works.

Rendari, good point, and while that makes sense to me (I think) having had some hex-editing background, it'll probably go over other people's heads... is this the only way to make a maxi image? I thought it had to do with a really high form of compression, but if it's just 00'ing out, I guess it makes sense, but that's kinda disappointing...
Here I was, expecting some new form of technology for compression... I guess one can dream :D
I got a question what is the name of the file you have to mount image with d tools for nfs mw ?
Thx:D
Farshid420

Not sure what you mean, but I guess it would be whatever you name the actual image when you make it... lol :)
Example: you_file_name_here.mds
Note: Remember to load the mds as opposed to the mdf file, or you may have issues ;)
Not for Safedisc. You can load both .MDF and .MDS for safedisc and not have problems because you do not need the DPM, which is stored in the .MDS. For all other protections, you can only mount the .MDS.

Hö?
I can only mount the mds files, my daemon is limited in doing such stuff, mounting mdf files
wtf are you using to mount a single mdf ? there always is an mds file with an mdf, so why not using it...
Farshid420
28-11-2005, 12:01
muJi.fiGHt3r, if you really want to mount an mdf, all you have to do is modify your mounting program settings in the registery, or simply use Daemon Tools' mount feature and select the mdf file... but hey, if you have the mds and you wanna use that, it makes no difference, as rendari stated, when it comes to SafeDisc ;)
Hope that help :P
I actually bought this game, which is unusual as I hate driving games in general, but I like the story in it and the GTA feel.
So im kinda impressed.
All I did was the following.
1. Instead of using my own image, I used the maxi image on GCW.
2. Installed Daemon Tools 4, changed bus names on install, when installed, Right clicked DT as if you were going to mount an image and chose properties instead, here I changed all 3 headers to something different. Enabled all emulation, and mounted the image. Closed DT from taskbar saying yes leaving emulation on.
3. Made sure no emulator/debugger/hiding programs were running.
4. Played the game.
At first I got a stupid d3dx9_26.dll error, dunno why as NFS installed it during setup. But to get rid of it, I went into the discs' DirectX folder and opened the d3dx9_26 cab file and extracted the dll to the game folder, and it worked after that.
/me shrugs
Just for info, if you have the DVD version from this game, surch a friend with CD version and make an image from CD 1 they are smaller as DVD image and work perfekt with deamon tools and SD4hide or (i use starfhulck tool with profile "starorce 3.49 DO NOT Patch CDrom" (all other option activated).
For mini or maxi image creators don't use DVD image use image from CD1 is bether, smaller and work on all versions.:D

this is what i did:
made an image w/ Alc120%
mounted the image, installed the game
downloaded the speedloader, located at GCW
played the game with the speedloader without ANY complications or problems.
pretty easy, eh
I didnt have to use the speedloader myself, I just mounted in DT4 and closed it keeping emulation, and it ran fine for me.

You are wrong I'm sorry but you are
The CD & DVD Version (Protected Images) are the same size I no this because I did have both versions of the Game but now I only own the DVD Black Edition as the Retailer gave me the wrong Case, all Images for CD & DVD Version are Exactly the same size, both CD & DVD Protected Images work using DaemondTools v4.00 & SafeDisc Hide.
What I do not Understand is that both of my Images work & Both are 773MB & the Mini DVD Image is approx 1.7 Gig ??? How does that logic work... Even the DVD Version (Boxed) has 4xCD's for Installing the NFS Most Wanted.

Makes you wonder how they can say its a DVD when in actual fact it is not but they do put in a DVD Movie which is 1.28 gig in size & looks like to me its all the Intro's that are all ready in the Game plus little extras like how they made the game & E3 preview etc...

i just dont get what you're trying to say ?
do you want to say the cd images are the same in size like the dvd image?
and wtf is a protected image ?
btw: the black edition is not released in europe so far, is it ? i've never seen it in shops
and the black edition also contains additional cars (10 to be precise) and some extra maps
My NFS-MW was preordered and received on 17th Nov in UK, came as 1.2version on 4CDR, offically the Black is said to have 2 extra Cars + minor add ons, this was confirmed by a peep here who phoned or mailed EA Games to get a final answer to the rumours of the difference's, this patch claiming to give 10 extra Cars + major add ons etc i cannot see if its real or bollocks, i put it in my game and it makes no differnece infact the file is 100% same as my legit original, im too lazy to count the cars in "ADD TO MY GARAGE", before and after i swap file. :o

Eazy to Understand MiniMaxImage is from REAL DVD version and this 1.7 Gig image is not needet to play with this DVD version! The CD1 (from CD version)773 Mb only is needet to play with the DVD game version also why use the 1.7 Gigs image if 0.7 gigs work with all version. After this constatation, an other thing is clear, the CD DVD control saf_disk apparently doesn't check the real Mbts size of CD-DVD otherwise why DVD 2.01 gigs work with CD1 image 773 megs ?, with this infos probably it's possible to create a shorter MINIMAXIMAGE.;)
Errrrr is the answer 42?
lol :) I thought it was 49
Nope, the meaning of life is 42. That is the answer to the ultimate question. :p
