This weekend I'm hooking up my ext hd. I just wanted to get some opinions on file compression. On NTFS what types of files do you guys typically compress? Like, Should I? Could I? compress in my installed program files folder? When you exe those files does it slow you down? Or, would you? could you? compress video files? Do you save much memory compressing video? And one more thing that I'm curious about. Do you need to compress iso's or cue\bin or winrar\ace files? (I think they're compressed already:confused: ) Thanks.

Salute and silence for rememberance day

dont compress anything that runs a program, eg, anything in the windows or program files folders, just compress your personal files, compression video doesnt save much space, but pictures and documents does cut it down a bit

ISO = not compressed
BIN = not compressed
RAR = compressed
ACE = compressed
