Hmmm but when I use the 'Search' button this particular thread was the second one metioned, and there are also numerous other Bet on Soldier threads.
Anyway this is what 'LoedD (also known as GOD)' wrote about playing Bet on Soldier without the DVD:

How 2 play without DVD?
First of all it's not possible 2 make a mini image as easy as for games with stupid protections(SD, SR). So if u really want to play BoS without DVD u need the full 4Gig image on your HD.
Because it has SF3.5 u need 2 unplug all DVD/CD devices from your mainboard. Then u disable nodes with SF nightmare and play using SFCure.
