Hi all,

Followed the steps on using the miniImage from GCW for civ4:
1. Mount miniImage with Alcohol120
2. Run safeDisk4Hide
3. Launch game

THe first problem is that didnt work, oh well...
The MAIN problem is not only did it not work, the miniImage from GCW screwed Alcohol120, it is stuck as the mounted image, can not be unmounted. I have rebooted and tried all the normal things to unfvck Alcohol120 but the miniImage seems to have screwed me.

Anyone else having problems with the miniImage and Alcohol120?

Thanks!

Im using Alcohol version 1.9.5 Trial, dnloaded it yesterday and was able to mount unmount other images, but once I mounted the mini image from GCW it ****ed up Alcohol. Gettin "Some application(s) have locked the device".

Any suggestions?

Do you have any of the little sh|tty tools (SR7stop, AntiBlaxx, Safedisc4Hide, ...) on your system ?

I put safedisk4hide on after Alcohol120 because it was posted as a step on the GCW Civ4 section. Get rid of it?

You need to restore the backup that SD4H made- Without this, permission is denied when attempting to mount/ unmount images.

I used the restore feature on the safedisk4hider interface, and rebooted, closed Alcohol120 and in a bunch of different sequences and it still wont unmount. =(

Any ideas?

What happen when you just delete the CIV4-Image, or mount another image?

It wouldnt let me unmount the image even after I removed it from the image list and did all kinds of stuff. I got irritated and really started looking into it, the game is now working.

To get rid of the locked mount issue I shut down alcohol 120, disabled the drive in device manager, removed the device in device manager, opened alcohol120, changed the number of virtual devices to 0, this removed the virtual device from Alcohol120, then I changed the virtual device number back to 1, rescanned drives, mounted the full image NOT THE MINI IMAGE FROM GCW, dnloaded and configured anti-blax, fired it up and everything works fine.

WOOT.

Now someone needs to take the instruction set down from GCW because its BS.
