"cant find orig dic" or "an emulation programm was found on your pc"
so please hurry up with a working ...(you now what i mean;) )
ps. please sorry my bad english
Then u either use an old version of Alcohol or daemon tools or u have an image without DPM or don't have SR7 Hide.
Sometimes, u need to disable your cd-ROM and nodes with SFnightmare.

For me it doesn't work either..."Mount the image, install, set the compatibility mode for windows 2000 and use a program to hide any virtual DVD drive..." It didn't work for me i just keep geeting an error message..WE REAALLYYY NEED A CRACK OR A SOLUTION....!!
Use Anti Blah Link: http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=11...lahv1.0All.rar
Make sure you have the image mounted before using, then use antiblah_EN_on.bat for english computers.
Have fun!
Yes it has been scanned, with AVG.

your referring link on the page does not work. There is no file to DL. :(
Title: Starwars Battlefront 2
Publisher: Lucasarts
Language: German
Media Type: DVD
Protection: SecuROM 7.00.00.0071 by A-Ray Scanner 2.0.2.3
Play Intro:
1.) You need a full image with DPM (mini image doesn't work)
2.) You can mount in Alcohol or Daemon Tools
3.) SR7 STOP!
What's a DPM image? And how do I go about making it? Thanks.

Hi all new to posting here.
I tried all of the options with swbf 2 and can't get any of them to work. It keeps givin me an error to put in the orginal cd. Any help would be cool
thanks
You can bypass most new game protections including SecuROM 7 with the registry/permissions hack.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi
set Administrator permissions to deny your Virtual Drive (varies with your computer so check each or deny to the entire group).
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
set Administrator permissions to deny access there too
(to completely deny access you must go into advanced and uncheck the box for 'inherit from parent the permission...' and when given the option, choose 'copy' and then apply and ok.
also, change the parameters/name of your virtual drive as the default names given by Daemon Tools is blacklisted.
I used this on both of my computers, which both have fresh installs of XP. It did not work on them before the fresh install as there were most likely something else preventing it. Enjoy.
p.s. This has worked on every game I have tried it on. Battlefront II, all EA Sports 06 series, F.E.A.R., AoE III, Brother in Arms EIB, Quake 4, etc...
I moved the posts out of the SWBF2-Thread in the "ProtectionList"-Forum to a new thread in the "PC-Games-Backup"-Forum.
I can tell you right now that this DOES work. I have it working on 3 computers at home (all with a legal copy of the game) and I don't need the DVD for any of them.
I'm a complete noob to this, so there is NO expert tweaking I did or anything like that... I just followed the instructions EXACTLY!!!
One step I think some people are missing is with Alcohol 120%. Make sure you do the EXPERT installation (2nd screen I think). If you don't re-name your 2 dll files (I think that's what they are - keep it under 8 characters) SecuRom will pick-up on it right away and block you.
You'll also have to run SR7.stop every time you reboot, just click HIDE, then close it - this is another thing I've seen people miss... the closing of SR7.stop. It can NOT be running.
All 3 of my rigs have slightly different set-ups (Intel, AMD, # of real drives, types of real drives) so I'm fairly confident that if you follow the directions EXACTLY, it will work.
Your mounted image MUST point to the bulky 3Gb image you made... well... actually the small MDS file of the image (from this site). Make sure you have the 3Gb image and the small MDS file here in the same folder (and only those two items to be safe).
dunno why people are threating took me 2 mins to figure it out.
download the maxi mini image from game b-urn world
mount the image in daemon or alcohol
start v-cd hide
hide drives
exit v-cd hide
set battlefront shortcut to win 2k compatability (you have to do this almost every game with virtual cd hide use on games)
start game
Okay, maybe my brain cells have decreased over the years, but I'm stumped. I've bought the US CD version and the fix doesn't seem to work. I know it's the DVD version, but shouldn't it anyway?
If not so, should we be hoping on a CD version anytime soon?
Also, one more thing, I kinda screwed up and ran SR7stop along with the game at the same time, so Daemon tools must be blacklisted. Does anti-blah clear ALL registry blacklist entries or just the ones specific to the mds that comes with it? If not, is there a tool that clears all of them?
And one more thing (sorry, too much nicoti/caffe-ine). Does it really matter if I change the bus driver name in Daemon if the drive is supposed to be hidden anyway?
That's it thanks for bearing with me.

Hi all
OK I finally figured it out!!!!!
I installed the latest trial version of Alcohol 120%. Mounted the MDF file with Daemon Tools and installed the game. Then i disabled all the vurtrial dives in Daemon Tools and closed the program completly down. Next I mounted the MDS file with Alcohol 120%. Next used SR7.Stop_1.0 and clicked on the hide button. It should tell you that it hid the one and only one virtual drive. And lastly went into my control pannel, opened up the System folder, choose the Hardware tab, Device Manger, expand the dvd/cd-rom drives and disable all of your cd/dvd rom dives and leave your one and only one virtual drive active.
I hope this helps someone out. I finally am able to play the game.
thats alot of messing around bud, just do what i did its alot less hassle

rename those dlls to anything or what?
So finally once again
-install the full game
-download Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.3105 30day trial
-during installation, select EXPERT MODE
-now u can change the driver names, so do that
-now make an image using the option "Data Position Measurement" (DPM) and select "high"
-if your device doesn't support DPM reading, make a normal image and replace your .mds file with the one u can download on gcw
-to play the game mount the image in d-Tools or Alcohol120% with all emulations enabled (Alcohol 120% has emulation options too!)
-start SR7 Hide and click "hide"
-if this doesn't work either u have a last chance:
-use Starforce Nightmare and disable CD and nodes
So this should work for everyone:D
Please ensure u have the right mds file (if it's only 5Kb, it's invalid)
rename those dlls to anything or what?
When u install Alcohol u have to select Expert mode in the first window.
Now during installation u'll see 2 lines with driver names
Change these names 2 what u want
that's all:D

I have a problem where I cannot install the game. I mount the image with daemon, click on LaunchBFII.exe and all it does it show a MSDOS screen for a split second and nothing else happens. Can anyone help?
OMG
listen guys...this is so simple a f!cking penguin could do it.
it is not a starforce game, there is no need to use anti starforce protection.
you do not need to rename any drivers
nor edit your registry, dll's or what ever.
listen to this word by word..
INSTALL GAME-FULL INSTALL/EXPERT WHATEVER ITS CALLED
DOWNLOAD VIRTUAL CD HIDE LOCATED ON GCW
DOWNLOAD THE MAXI MINI IMAGE LOACATED ON GCW
MOUNT THE MAXI MINI IMAGE IN DAEMON OR ALCOHOL 120
RIGHT CLICK DESKTOP ICON AND SET COMPATIBILITY MODE TO WINDOWS 2000
START VIRTUAL CD HIDE
HIDE YOUR DRIVES
EXIT THE VIRTUAL CD HIDE ICON IN THE TASKBAR,MAKING SURE THE DRIVES ARE SET TO HIDDEN
DOUBLE CLICK THE SHORTCUT TO BATTLEFRONT 2
start the game.
dont keep whining it dont work, this is the most simple thing to do,just try it.

Install it from your original discs, why make a image to install the game?!?
I know there is no Starforce but in some cases hiding the drives is the only way to prevent the game from detecting a backup
yes that is why you use virtual cd hide.
its teh safest program to use of its type..
antiblaxx can hammer your machine, and stop daemon from ever working again..
anti starforce ide disabling programs can damage your dvd rw drives,as it did mine.
v-cd hide has to be exited in teh taskbar for it to work.
and this game works fine on my pentium 4 laptop and fine on my amd desktop
2 completley diffrent machines...also my freind has managed to get this game running over 4 pc's all diffrent spec..so my way works without doubt.
if it dont, your pc aint powerful enough or your doing something wrong.
I know that and it wors for me.
If u didn't know I startes this thread once in the protection part of the forum.
The problem I was talking about was on the PC of my friend. Nothing (SR7 hide, v-cd-h, Anti blah) worked so I tried SFN and viola!
I'm doing my best:D
I also can't explain this but it's just like that and who knows that not anyone has the same problem cuz I never thought that this is so difficult for some people so they are either to stupid to follow simple instructions or they have extraordinary errors.

And if you'd purchased the game..you wouldn't really need it either.
This is not the place for you. Go find one of your kiddie warez sites.

First, try running the game from the original DVD. If that works, install Daemon Tools and/or Alcohol 120% and try running the game with a mounted image. If SR7.Stop says it has nothing to hide then neither Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% is installed on your machine (or it/they is/are installed but its/their registry entries are thoroughly messed up so it/they won't work anyway).
I actually had it working for a while with Daemon Tools. But it's not working anymore. It doesn't crash like it did when I wasn't doing everything properly, instead it launches the SW Battlefront 2 window, waits a few seconds, then launches a second window called "FATAL". After that, the game doesn't start anymore. I haven't changed any settings and I've been doing things exactly the same as always. Can anyone please explain what has happened?

Download CloneCD
Make a Image File using the Protected CD function and creating a cue sheet.
Download Daemon Tools v4
Mount the image
Turn on all emulations
Disable all other cd/dvd drives
Play Game!
If anyone still has problems and is running Anydvd, trying closing it and see if there's any change...

Mosweetboy, don't bump; you won't get faster what you want if you do.
Hey guys.
Im one of the many having trouble too.
One thing Im wondering is where the windows 2000 compatibility mode option is? Iam using windows 2000 is this an option only in xp?
Hey again. I got it working on my second and 3rd comp. I guess I just messed up my first one. Ill try reinstalling widows and trying again.
Download CloneCD
Make a Image File using the Protected CD function and creating a cue sheet.
Download Daemon Tools v4
Mount the image
Turn on all emulations
Disable all other cd/dvd drives
Play Game!
Like I said, I had it working...and for some reason, it stopped working. But now it doesn't freeze up anymore, instead a window called "fatal" came up. So, my question had nothing to do with how to make it run by mounting the image, but rather "what is the signifigance of the fatal window?"
Senpuyaku
21-02-2009, 12:44
"what is the signifigance of the fatal window?"This could be due to a few things, either messed up registry keys, messed up game files, or something to do with the computer's graphics. Usually when you see this, you have to reinstall the game. You also have to be very careful when using programs that can damage your system.
Mounting the image and disabling the physical cd/dvd drives works very well. The registry edits may have been patched by microsoft.
