View Full Version : SecuRom 7 is starting to suck big time!!!!!

I have a few games at the moment such as Star wars Battlefront 2, Vietcong 2 and Evil Dead that are all Securom 7 protected and it's really starting to piss me off.
It's bad enough that I can't use a backup copy to play the games but I can't even play them with the original discs in. I keep getting the message
"A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed."
I've tried the SR7.Stop with virtual hide CD and changing the compatibility to win 2000 but it doesn't seem to help, it used to, I've got a few of my other games to run, (after a few headaches) but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
I have Alcohol 120 and Daemon tools both professionaly installed with the name changes and that but nothing helps anymore.
Does anyone have any ideas at all about what I can try next, it is driving me ******* crazy, what can I do????
Someone please help me!!!
Thanks in advance for any help.

Answer to your life's problems.

Use Anti Blah Link: http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=1130902241/AntiBlahv1.0All.rar

Make sure you have the image mounted before using, then use antiblah_EN_on.bat for english computers.

Have fun!

I can't even play them with the original discs in. Remove all the Alcohol120%, DaemonTools, AntiBlah/Blaxx, SFcure, S7stop, .... , then reboot your system and try it again with the originals.
If it don't work then, contact the game publisher!

SW BF2 and Vietcong are having an enhanced Securom7 Protection with
a very hard blacklistings...

Normally its no Problem to emulate SR7 Games like FEAR..with SR7.Stop its working fine.

I have to reinstall my WXp...before that i had trouble to emulate SW BF2 and vietcong2 ..SecurityModul Error etc ..

But after the reinstall all is working fine with Alcohiol and SR7.Stop

So you can see ,thats its very sensible to use this tools.
All those Tools are writing Entrys in the registry..

After a while it can be that your registry is full of Entrys from Antiblax, SR7Stop, Alcohol...

Then you are getting trouble with those SR7 Games.

Try to uninstall all Programs like Alcohol etc.. disable all Emualtion Options before...try to search manually in the registry for Entrys from Alc ,Sr7.stop

This is what i did.

1. Download Anti Blah
2. Extract it to a folder
3. Make sure you have your image mounted first.
4. Go into your Anti blah folder and click on antiblah_EN_on.bat
5. GO to the properties and click on the tab compatibility.
6. Go down to compatiblity mode and enable it.
7. Scroll down on the lsit and click windows 2000.
8. Play the game.

Isnt this Anti-blah going to screw up my system?

What happen if I accidentally reboot before turning it off? (in case of a power balck-out for example?)

What are you guys all doing, eh?
I got VietCong 2 running with a mounted image made with Alcohol 120...
No blacklisting crap needed, and i installed Daemon with standard settings  same with Alcohol120
Yesterday I bought ProEvo5 (btw: GREAT !) and it worked by simply using Virtual CD Hide...
No AntiBlaxx, AntiBlah **** or SR7 Stop, simply with this tiny prog...
wtf did you all do?
and Vietcong doesnt tell me something about security lulu, same does PES5...
only game that told me security module cant be activated was FEAR, worked in Win2k compatibility like a charm...

@ LegionX, I used your advice on anti blah earlier and I got SW Battlefront 2 going but for the last few hours I've been trying to get Vietcong 2 running and it's still not playing.
When I use anti blah, instead of the "required security module" message now it says that it "can't find the original disc", which I thought well at least I can now use my original but when I put the original back in I get the "required security module" message again. WTF is going on with this pri**, I nearly smashed my computer.
Actually I think ILLUMINATOR23 has a point, I've been through my registry many times over the last couple of weeks and I still have entries of programs that haven't been on my machine in months, either I start deleting all the old entries or it's time to reformat the C:/ drive.
Hopefully someone will have some more ideas of what I can do

I also have the same problem, I followed your instructions down to the bone. And It does not work still. Any tips for me? Personally, I think this anti-blah etc is either spyware or a virus. But any tips on how to get swbf2 to start?

I have found out how to bypass both the "A required Security Module......." & "Insert the right DVD..." (or something like that)...

1) After inst. the game, mount the original .mds file, not the one here.. Doesnt matter if its Alcohol or Daemon..
2) Set the "Compability mode : win2000" for the BFII.exe
3) Use only and only Virtual-CD-Hide.exe to hide the drive.
4) Exit the Virtual-CD-Hide in your tray, and start the game.

Sincerely Daniel

Edit: Now im off to play.. :P

No, you did not. You never mentioned anything about setting the comp.mode to win2k.. It wdidnt work without the comp.mode for me... But else you are right, the rest is total ripoff :P Sorry for that..

Muji-FightR
03-11-2005, 05:38
you dont need to put it on Win2k mode
Well, it was not necessary for me, hm...
what do you do?

Seriously, it should work.. Used alot of my time to try to bypass that freakin' message..

I also meant the win2k mode for the spesific game Battlefront II. A lot of peepz just keep adding to 3rd-party progs you need to use, so i just figured out i write how i did it (but "unfortunately" it was already done :D )... And it _must_ work, cuz i almost consider myself having a equally clean computer as fresh re-inst of XP...

lol, nope it wasnt meant to be jorch dubbleyou...hehe
Well, if he could be Georgy, could he also be Adenoid Hynkler ?! Not that i want to compare those two (since the second one was a REAL problem for europe and the whole world) but they both want(ed) to spread all over the world...
