Is this a video game character?

Hi

I have a query which I hope some knowledgeable gamers can help me with. I have been using the below pic as my avatar in a non-gaming forum for a good while. I am curious to know if he is a character from a video game? The avatar gallery where I picked it from contains characters from well-known games I have like Soul Calibur and King of Fighters.

Just wondering.

Yeah, it's from one of the skins in Quake III , dont remember it's name though.

Yes he is from Quake 3, I cant think of his name tho, my kids would know but they are in bed. ;)

He is Bitterman. I found this out by following your Quake 3 leads.
