hi everyone...i am having problems with the call of duty plus united offensive cd2dvd conversion.
i have carefully followed the guide by grumpy in this forum but when i try to install i get the following message...
"error 1309 : error reading from file c:\games\call of duty\COD\program files\call of duty\docs\license.rt"
i have cleared all files and started again but i get the same message.
can anyone hlp or advise plz.
thanx...darren
luciel....the double post was a mistake, one click on the mouse too many when the pointer was on the submit thread button.
Are you trying to install from the hardrive or the created DVD?
Unless it is a typing error by you the file should have the extension 'rtf' and not 'rt', so that may be your problem?
But it sounds to me you have a damaged file either because of a bad read to your hardrive or a bad burn to the DVD?
Double check the name of the 'license.rt' file.
P.S: If you ever Double post again, by mistake, it is possible for you to delete your own post or thread! The thread will need to be deleted before anyone else posts a comment in it tho! ;)

my mistake, the extention is.rtf and i am trying to install from hardrive b4 burning to dvd.
Then the problem there is you are trying to install it from the hardrive! Not every game conversion will actually install from the hardrive! I have mentioned this throughout the forums many times but the only true way of testing a conversion is by burning it to a DVD-RW first. If it works from the RW then it will work from a DVD-R. ;)

Can yu actually open the rtf file? Are you sure it is not damaged? Apart from that I really cant think what it can be?

Just Use UltraISO ;)
you dont need to burn the whole image again and again, just change the iso file, takes you 2 seconds and mount it again to test it
Burning it after every change of any msi or folder takes a lot of time...
there are also freeware programs that change and convert iso files.
just a good advice
