Just got my ps2 hard-disc exploit up and running and both games I installed did not work using hdloader. Pro Evo Soccer 5 does work if I set it to disable dvd-9 support but battlefront does not with any combo of settings.

It seems to spin up the ps1 cd I use to launch the exploit so I am guessing it is doing some sort of authentication check but even if I put the Battlefront dvd in before launching the hard-disc file it will not boot.

Both are originals BTW. It's a crying shame as PES5 doesn't really do much loading but Battlefront does a lot of loading between levels and even on retrys.

Can I assume I need a patch and if so, other than on the sticky thread above, where can I monitor or look out for one?

Also, is it possible that hdadvance may boot it or are they subject to the same issues?

Any help on any of this appreciated.

I use the swap disc, but I can not get my copy to run, mercenaries won't work either. I used Toast for a direct burn. Its worked on all my other games but them so far. has anyone had any luck?
