View Full Version : Playing PAL on NTSC Ps2

I just recently bough a PAL Ps2 Game, Crimson Sea 2, legit and it only cost me 12 dollars. I stick it in into my Ps2 and it says "Please Insert a PS or PS2 Game" . With my assumtion, I believe it won't play a game that came from London. So I come here and ask, is there anyway to get this thing to work on my Ps2?

I don't have a mod either, I can't quite afford one at the momment and with the Ps3 Coming out, I might as well save up.

I was afraid someone was going to say that, thanks for the info, but is it possible to use a Swap Disc with out the mod?

yeah . you can use swap magic but not all games ar compatible wiv it ,, some patches are available but id say for the price of swap m youd be better of savin a few more dollar n gettin a real mod !!!!
ask n e 1 and theyll tell ya swap aint the way to go
what v is your ps2 ??

Its Very VEry OLD!

Its range from v1 to v3, because there are 10 screws on the base.

I was thinking of getting this:
Magic 3.1 PLUS ModChip

or should I get the latest chip?
Do you recommend any?

might be better off buying a premod v7 up.
sounds to me your old girl needs an update !!!! lol
some1 else should be able to help ya with a mod for a v1-3 but might advise you to update m8

damn, but isn't that more expensive? Might be an additiona 100$ more from the DMS4

I plan to mod it because of the 2 reasons:
Its old, no warranty, the controller port is cracked so i have to play it open.
and I bough a Pal game lol.

well it depends on you m8 !!! what do you want ???
most ppl wont go near an old ps2 (to mod it)
and belive it or not its probably cheaper to buy a premod than to run around getting a mod then finding sum1 to do the install ( possible problems may ocur) so back again ... you get what i mean .
at least premods come wiv somesort of warranty,,,dont they ? lol

Get in contact with Spedmetal, He's in California, www.norcalmods.com. Talk to him about modding the console and maybe cleaning/adjusting the laser.
