View Full Version : Warning!!
When selecting a GCW mirror, you will get a big huge popup and a winfixer ad, do NOT install winfixer 2005 it will ruin your system.
I know this is in the wrong place, but its the most viewed part of the forum.. So I gave you a warning.. Beware.
It wont ruin it, just shatter it :D
i hate that pop up,i have been getting it for weeks, and you cant get rid of it either,if you press the 'x' it makes more pop ups.

Glad I use Firefox! :D :D :D ;)
Me too..never seen that popup :D
Firefox + ZoneAlarm = good internet
firefox-avg pro-sygate firewall
get that damn pop up all the time.
IE + PopUpCop, I have also never seen the popup? ;)
I also never seen this pop-up (FireFox).
Is it always there? If yes, then DABhand please make a thread in the GCW-Support forum, so EMPiRE knows it.
@DABhand: OK, you already posted it in the Support-Forum (http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=72921). Thanx.

i also use firefox and never had that pop up. ;)
Wouldn't it be great if there was a software, running in background, that would wait for a bad popup or virus and throw it back at the originator in such a way that it would screw them!
Yeah its called Me and Me Big Bat V2.91
Its great lol
Havent had to use it yet.. I dont think its legal in a way :P
I use the Europe mirror so I don't get it.
If people are stupid enough to believe popups that claim to 'fix' their systems they deserve all they get if the click on them :p

Shame you didn't know about it 2 months ago, thats when it got me. f*** C*** of a thing
I've disabled all ads that possibly could generate these spyware/trojan ads, until the matter has been fixed once and for all
The advertisers have promised not to use/show these kinds of crappy banners but still some users get to see them (for some reason I do not get to see them in IE)... sorry
