i want to buy new PS2 in Japan

Hello to everyone,

i live in Tokyo and i am about to buy a PS2.i am a newbee and dont know anything about chipping,boot discs etc etc :confused: .
I dont know if i shud buy a japanese PS2 or an american one(i was told they are sold here) >What shud i take into consideration before buying it?
Can i play US (or/and European )games on a japanese console?
Can i play japanese games on the Us console?

Any help or info is VERY MUCH appreciated.

You know what ?
I have got V4 JAP PS2 to.
And it's very stupid to buy JAP PS2 - !
The problems with JAP PS2 is:
1) Games is 45$-50$
2) You need some special MOD-CHIP to JAP PS2 (I'm using clone of Messiah2)
3) No. Your JAP PS2 is can't read PAL or NTSC/US games-! ( if it's not modded )

It will be better to buy a PAL PS2
And mod-chip ( Matrix infinity is best mod-chip for PS2 )

newplayer ! your better off getting a premod ,if your thinkin of getting a new ps2 ,,pay a little extra .
if ya want to play ntsc pal etc on 1 console save alot of time and money in the long run m8 ;)

The only person who buys an unmodded ps2 is someone who dos'nt know how great they are! I would amputate my gonads before ever buying an unmoded console again. I own one of the first premoded ps2s made. It was done by Precision Mods. I recently tried their web site, but its gone, I wonder what happened. Its a rock solid job, it plays everything, and I mean everything, every single game or movie runs on it.. I just need a hard drive

Has any one ever modded a console with a multi cd reader, or multidrives? Or a cd-changer? Hmmm..

Personally Now Ive Grown Out Of That Fad

Theres no point in mod chips....
Honestly Its just people who go download/rent games and copy them you all know its true. Im Currently Selling A Matrix Infinity Mod chip Kit. If anyones interested just pm me. I can fit it aswell for a small charge.
If I was you guys i would just go buy preowned games if your hard up.
Atleast your not breaking the law!

DVD Region Free
DEV2 Mode
Homebrew Capability

I used to use these all the time with my Infinity before I sold my PS2 on...
