Hi guys.
I've been using Swap Magic to play imported games on my PAL PS2. I've got 2 CD and 1 DVD based games and they all work fine.
Last week I imported the US version of Fighter Maker 2, a game that was never released in the UK.

I've wanted the game for years but only recently got the Swap Magic software.
Anyway, bottom line is the game isn't working. I keep getting a "Not a valid PS2 disc" error message.

I've been hunting for patches for the game, thinking that making a back up might be the answer, but I can't find a patch site with the file on it.

Anyone got any ideas? Its really killing me that I can't play this game that I just bought.

I wish I could help. Swap magic really isnt the best way of playing imports.

Yeh I know. I didn't know anyone doing mod chips though, and I didn't fancy sending my PS2 away to someone.

Yeah Swapmagicfix don't have it.
So you guys think I should get a real mod chip installed?
I'm not sure I want to just to play one game though. And I get the feeling I'd still need a patch (I've found a few broken links to the patch)

Thanks for your help anyway guys. :)

Providing you got a good chip like an Infinity or a Crystal chip etc, no patches are needed whatsoever :)
