Is that true? I have Ragnarok Battle, and I want to make the game run without CD in the drive. This is the protection:

I Made a full image with physical data using Blindwrite, then mount with Daemon, but it still asks original CD.

Of course the game run with my CD.

What's the best way to make backup? Thanks!

SVKP is an EXE protector, not a CD Protection!

They've just used SVKP to hide the contents of the original exe. It may be using AlphaROM, some Asian titles have used it before like Brave Soul! Try making a backup using Securom profiles in Alcohol 120% and see if that works, use a CD-RW to test though and don't run the backup from a burner!

Tell me is Ragnarok Battle any good? What is different from the old Ragnarok?

Prolly just a custom cd check, and the exe is SVKP protected so that you cant patch it easily. If you are good at reversing you could manually unpack it, shouldn't be too hard compared to safedisc, and just patch the CD check.

I think other companies used exe protectors before... I think Jowood had a Armadillo/Securom packed exe with custom checks in Chaser, but I can't remember... It was a long time ago...

I don't have Alcohol :mad: I ever installed trial version, now it's expired. I decided not buy it coz I use Daemon. Download new version of Alcohol (trial), install it, but it still says that my subscription has expired do'h :mad:

Ragnarok Battle is action side-scrolling offline game and it's very different with the online. Just like playing Street Fighter or Dragon Ball. There's so many combo. The game is good in graphic and sound but I stil don't know how to save :D

I know it is actually a free game, you can download from many Ragnarok site, but it's in Japanese. Since I don't understand, so I decide to buy it in my language. There's a guide book to use combo, and I got big poster also :)

Almost correct, Xtreme protector or xprot...very annoying, but once you killed the antidump you can play around...there's even tools that (in many cases) do this for you...its "bigbrother" Themida is the same pos...Chaser..what a piece of sh*t! Couldn't even install due to CP error,
but it worked after some "serious cleaning" ;) ...returned to shop and will never by another JoW00t game :mad:

Nope, cuz it will probably have svkp+armadillo(meanest version)+sexxurom v10.XX.XX. and a ****load of custom stuff...if it comes with ONE CP and some real stable stuff (yes, that includes the installer) I might look in to it ;)

Xtreme protector :(

I did some themida a while ago, and ****ing hated it. Chaser was a good game btw ;). Dunno why I liked it, but it kept me playing for a week.

Actually, Jowood only used the real Xprotector once or twice. What most scanners report from Jowood games as JowoodXprot (or even just Xprotector on the low quality/old scanners) is *nowhere* near as difficult as xprotector or themida.

Just fire up a disassembler and compare the real thing with it. Just a cheap attempt at a protection. Nothing to see there.

I love that quote, almost as much as I enjoy when all their games gets cracked even though they try to (over)protect them ;)

Download Xprot stripper from http://wasm.ru/tools/12/Xprot.zip (search by google) but everytime i launch this program, my computer restart. Do you know other link to get this?

Antimida. There's only 2 option to click, one is make process, the other refresh list. But nothing happen. What's wrong?


Anyone know what is the best way to remove SVK Protector from .exe file?
