FIFA 2006 - Installation Problem with DVD

I have bought the game "FIFA 06" for PC. The game is on 1 DVD. But when I insert the DVD it takes quite long until the disc has been red and when I press the "INSTALL"-button in the AutoStart-menu a window with the following message appears: "Please insert CD/DVD 1." :confused: The game only has this 1 DVD, so what disc can be meant here???
When I want to start the "ReadMe-file" from AutoStart-menu a "CRC Mistake"-message appears. When I open the content of the DVD, there is ONLY ONE FOLDER ON IT, WHICH CONTAINS NOT ONE .exe-file, ONLY FILES, THAT WINDOWS CAN NOT HANDLE WITH!
So is my ORIGINAL new bought FIFA06-DVD defective or does the GERMAN PC-VERSION have a general production-mistake???
Anyone else has this problem?

It does sound defective.

Keep the disc in the drive and restart your PC and then check the contents after restart if the same, then get it changed.

I have restarted my PC with the DVD in drive. When I opened the content of the disc there still was only one folder called "alocale" which is only 857 MB big and has no exe-files in it. But Windows tells me that the whole disc has about 3,53 GB.
So does this mean, my DVD is definetly defective?

Yes and no. EA has released the buggiest game ever. The DVD has failures over failures. And its not getting better after install.
If you look into fifa fan forums there are hundreds of threads reporting problems with the DVD.
Try an old DVD-Rom for installing.

As said before, yes, it is very buggy...
My version works, it is also a german version, sadly i didn`t find any help, so i must use my original dvd (hope there woun`t be scratches on it...)

And this game is (again) different than Fifa 2005, but not really better...some features are nice, but mainly not a real "worthy update" :p
