ok i always used RNM to back up my games and its always worked perfectly. but lately my PC has been constantly getting the blue screen of death and the most recent copies ive made are total crap. for example i made a copy of psychonauts and ultimate spider-man and they constantly skip and freeze. i cleaned my ps2 and i burned the backups on the lowest speed, am i getting these problems because of my pc or bad burns?
Its hard to say, this could be alot of things. Have you defraged the HD lately? What media are you using? Most modern media seems to do better burned on max speeds. It could also be that the PS2 laser is getting worn. Then again the burner could be getting old and on its way out as well.

i defragged the HD about 3 days ago. i was using verbatim dvd+r now im using TDK. i just bought this pc less than a year ago so i really doubt the burner is being worn out. but my ps2 is almost 4 years old now but it playes my other backed up games flawless so i dont think its my ps2 either. im currently running mcafee version 8 virus scan and takin care of that thenh im going to try burning on max speed and see if anything is differant.
thanks for reply
lol, Go buy some dvd-r's. Reburn the games then post the results :)

its all good now man. i took your advice on both games (spiderman and psychonauts) and burned them both on 6x as opposed to my usual 2x and now they work like a charm. no freezing, no skipping and they even load up faster. thats pretty weird i would have never guessed to burn them on a fast speed for better results. thanks
Glad you got it sorted :)
i would have never guessed to burn them on a fast speed for better results. thanks You'll be suprised as to how many people would also be suprised by this result. The number of people I still see around the forums advising to burn slower is incredible really...
