Does anyone know why the Game "Restricted Area" which is a StarForce 3 protected game has a working crack on GCW and ***.
A-ray say's it's a StarForce 3 game so is that a mistake or has someone worked out how to crack StarForce 3 now. Hopefully it's the later, Does anyone know?
Different types of SF3. You have easy version, and hard version. Protection difficulty depends upon how much money the game developers are willing to spit out :D

No, not developers, the publisher... :p
Developers get like... er... crap(?) out of the final earnings. Out of the $50 a game costs, almost 80% of it goes to the publisher, and correct me if I'm wrong.
Imagine if they had to pay for the protection as well...
Yep thats correct, publisher deals with distribution, they pay the developers a lump sum for the software then royalties on top per sale.

The publisher earn most of the money you put into a game when you buy it, so its their "mission" to save the game from warez scene and illegal distribution. Guess what, they decide which copy protection to take...I think the developer doesnt want the games to be offered in inet illegal but they get the money from the publishers like Take2 or Vivendi,... and thats all, they get $ from the publisher and the publisher needs to get the money he gave the devs back with paying the game. Which isnt very good if you can get it on inet, kazaa, ... so they use StarForce 3 ;)

The publisher can't always use the hardest of SF, it would simply kill the end users machine...imagine Doom III with the toughest version, VM stuff, Hidden filesystem and 50+ pcodes? Pretty much pull the trigger, order pizza, get a beer, get another beer, check what's on TV, take a wuzz, have sex with GF and then *maybe* watch the nice shot hitting the enemy.... ;)

I always thought copy protections actually act before playing a game, at the game's startup...
StarForce is running ingame to check the physical and virtual drives ?
Yeah, now i guess why CSS and HL2 dont have SF, and Splinter Cell 3 was running like a 1930's movie with 15 frames ^^ :D
i think that we are in a good course. games like silent hunter 3 and soldiers heroes of WW2 have been cracked. reloaded team has done a terrific job against starforce protection. hopefully we will see a splinter cell chaos theory crack
 The Game Restiricted Area has NO Starforce Protection.
Its called Sysyphus or something, i know that because i have written a "Manual to crack RA on every update" because the Protection is a Simple Jump/NoJump Query .
Besides This Starforce Games have no defect sektors, the DIsc of RA has Lots of it.
Trust me my Friend, it is not Starforce on this Game.
But theres another Game called SUDEKI, it had Starforce and have been cracked. A No-DVD is on GCW and it acutually works.
Hope that clears some things up ;)

Sudeki was not cr4ck3d.
Sudeki release was free in a magazine, he he it haven´t protection and was multilenguage only change speech command o use patch.
Sry my bad english stinky
man! you got me exited with this thread title dammit :(
the only thing i noticed with star force games,is they release demos of games that run without the disc,ie brian lara 2005(has anybody even noticed this game has been released? not seen any kind of crack information, and its a awsome game) and other starforce games from teh codemasters website.
so if they can do it,then it has to be possible.
also again i read ultima did it with colin mcrae 5 bu ripping out certain things..why cant this be done with toca race driver 2,chaos theory and others..because i have these games, and dont want to run them from teh disc..and with the way my pc is situated (locked in a cabinet away from my 3 kids under the age of 5) i end up not playing any of them.

Because Toca and SC has a shítload of stuff that need to be fixed first, this has been said a number of times before...before asking stuff about SF, think "custom Crap" FIRST...Basic is pretty easy, but the more stuff added (p-codes 10+, vm shíte, virtual FS) then you might have clue why it's so hard to reverse
(yes, most version DO get cracked but they are not always available for the public)
ooohhh...looks like***** runs fine with the crack on my machine
calm down, use the search button, the truth is out there ;)
Is this protection used ingame? I can play SCCT after the initial screen has dissapeared and i'm into the game.
I think CD Check is only at the loading of the game, while antidumps (i.e. P-codes) are effective at all times. I am not sure tho, since I have never taken a look at a SF3 game. I try to avoid them for obvious reasons ;).

I actually played Ricky Ponting Cricket for hours with no disc the other day  so it must only work on start up, when I'd actually realised the disc was in the cover I shut down the game and tried to restart it, it never ran of course without the disc in but once it was going in game I took the disc out again and it worked fine again until restart.
What a shame though, when I found out it was Starforce I gave it to my nephew.

Actually quite a few Starforce protected games have been cracked by the more able teams. Just refer to NFOrce and check the nfo's for these games: Sniper Elite (c) Ubisoft by RELOADED, Brothers in Arms: Earned In Blood (c) Ubisoft by RELOADED and Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2 (c) Codemasters by RELOADED. So yeah, Starforce has been cracked by the actual cracking groups.

I doubt the other serious groups (such as DEViANCE) are far behind RLD. It's these clone groups that are practically guaranteed to never put out an actual crack.
Flamming Cliffs LOMAC 1.1 starforce protection has not been cracked...

Neither have a million other SF games. Just because a group has the knowledge and ability to crack StarForce doesn't mean they have the time, resources or willingness.
All latest cracks for starforce are total b/s. groups like DIE surely can't crack it and probably RELOADED also. you can curse me for such profanity but let's face the truth - why they didn't cracked Cossacks II if it uses SF3.4 but they dealt with the newest 3.6 version encountered in "BIA - Earned in blood" game or an earlier 3.5 in 'Sniper Elite"? Most strange was their release of fix for "Soldiers - Heroes of WWII" year after the store date. IMHO they have access to unprotected files which come for example from different countries releases (in Poland some games are have different protections or even don't have any).
the same thing was happening with my Shade v1.2 crack - it was protected with a bit earlier mutation of SF3.4 - i didn't cracked it but i just used files from the magazine release of the game which was patched already to 1.2.
Summarizng - we cannot speak of real SF3 cracking today since it has not broken yet. The happy news is that it was cloned (a group called MiRROR created almost ideal CD clone of SF3 protected games, but they still have problems copying the DVDs) and a more succesful workaround was made (no USB or DVD+RW glitch). It' just a matter of time now....
The question is how do you know Mirror make ideal clones?

Just a tip: Mirror didnt cloned such games. This have been discussed over cdfreaks a lot. There is just A METHOD ( and only one) and mirror have nothing to do with it.
Yep..
Anyone can make a full clone, blindwrite, alcohol image. All it takes is eyes and the aptitude to read lol

Nop Dab, i dont mean a clone in the way a normal soft will do, i mean a clone with twins inside so once burned will launch without emulatoin as original.
That whats mirror members learnt, and tried to use to share in p2p. Luckyly, it is a CD/burner dependant and most people doesnt succeed once burnt.
Just it.

TOCA Race Driver 2 released today by RELOADED with a proper crack. And it has Starforce 3.3. I think we can expect more and more proper cracked Starforce releases by RELOADED in the next few months. Crow taste good?

you can read that on nforce. games that were released as cd versions ARE nearly perfect clones (they would be nuked either way). as it is stated in nfo the copies can be run in a cd/dvd reader and recognised as the real cd without using sf nightmare or sfcure.
MiRRoR uses a way to clone developed at cdfreaks forums. They have done nothing by themselves. Their releases with Starforce (most of them) uses SFCure wich they have not made either so they are mostly scene-wh*ring "points".
Reloaded must be cracking games, come on there is no way all Reloaded cracked games are because of leaked files that are unprotected.
The BiA:EiB release is not using the old BiA crack but is cracked (hex-edit and you will see remains of starforce execute codes).
Real respect goes to crackers, not cloners!
Ill take this opportunity to laugh at TNT.
Thanks for your time reading this post :P
These guys are a pain, they cant make a proper trainer.. And yet they consider themselves the Daddies of Dox World.
