Hi all ive been away from this game for a long time now , but ive just been looking at various mods for the slimline pal consoles as a couple of friends want theres modding , i noticed a few neo lazer fixes as well and also a chip by dms ezi that is solderless and easy to fit what is the best chips to go for at present.
Because i had hassle a while back when there released the silver v9's and v10's and loads where going down with seeing these lazer fixes i don't want to be chipping friends new silmlines if its just gonna be a major hassle of the console screwing up after a few weeks.
Surely there must be a chip thats works spot on without damaging the console anyways thanks in advance for any replys :)

I would say the Matrix Infinity is the best, followed by the Crystal Chip then DMS. Some would rate the DMS ahead of the Crystal because it has better support as far as more frequent firmware updates  . Stay away from the EZI chips. If your going to get a DMS get one soldered in the correct way. The clips used with the EZI chip have been known to damage the chip legs and screw up the console. Any of the three chips mentioned along with the Comsoft v4 fix and you should be set :)

I just saw you mentioning comsoft in recent posts...
I know the guy, I used his services once... He's a funny chap, not the kind of man you'd intuitively associate with that type of work and I was real surprised when he became famous...
He has this web page http://cso.co.il although i'm not sure what you could make out of it...

or www.ps3mod.co.uk (http://www.ps3mod.co.uk)

Both are equally fantastic :)
