im trying to backup my copy of NHL 2006 (2 CDs).

im using Alcohol 120% v1.9.5 (build 3105)
i have used Protection ID to find out its Safe v3.20

I followed the instructions
First identify which CD/DVD protection is being used on your Game CD/DVD (see Identifying a CD/DVD Protection).
Startup Alcohol 120%.
From the [Main] Menu click "Copy Wizard".
Select the CD/DVD Device from which the Game CD is being read.
Select the CD/DVD protection from the Datatype pull-down button at the bottom of the window.
This will auto-configure Alcohol 120% for the optimum backup settings.
When ready Click the [Next >] button.
Select "Image Location" where the Game CD Image should be stored.
When ready Click the [Next >] button.
Select the "CD/DVD Recorder" to which the CD Image will be written to.
All settings are again auto-configured for the optimum backup settings.
When ready Click the [Start] button.
Play the game!

but when its starts to copy, I start getting errors right away .. non stop. Im using 1x to READ also.

The errors are "read data examination errors at 968 .. and continue non stop 1915 so forth.

what am i doing wrong?

i have used Protection ID to find out its Safe v3.20I think you mean SafeDisc V3.20 . I can't believe that a new game use an old copy protection. Safedisc4 was already released.

but when its starts to copy, I start getting errors right away .. non stop. Im using 1x to READ also. The errors are "read data examination errors at 968 .. and continue non stop 1915 so forth. what am i doing wrong?Read error are normal for Safedisc protection. They are up to ~12000. Just wait. After the read error, the disc will be read faster.

It is always recommended to burn slowly, bust for me with my LTR 52246s it doesnt matter. Read speed doesnt matter and write speed maybe 8x or try other speeds. If you have success, it just depends on your writing hardware, so if the copy doesnt work give us the model of your writer.
