View Full Version : Hardcore Copy Protection on: Myst 5: End of Ages

Hello,

i've bought Myst 5: End of Ages original. Installation works perfekt, but I can't play the game. After the start the game aborts with the Error Message (Translated): "The Original Game DVD can't not be found". Only available option is "OKAY" - and then I'm back on my desktop.
I've tried a lot - if I use virtual drives I get the Error message (Translated) "Virtual Drives detected - please disable and try again".
If someone is able to beat this problem - tell me. I can give you the EXE File or whatever you need. I'm a noob in Copy Protection problems ...

Best to let the developers or publishers know, about your hardware (GFX card etc and DVD-Rom drive) they may have an idea on how to get it to work for you.

thx for your reply - i've already done this 3 times.
they have given me tipps like deactivate all other drives, change that and that and that in the bios, make a firmware update of the drive...

nothing works.

i've seen that a lot of people have this problem (in other forums) - some people of course have no problems...

I can't get the game to run. Not with AntiBlaxx, Alc... whatever! Still no one here who knows how to get this game to run?
I have the original DVD - i've the original Securom protected eoa.exe file...

Well, you should have a look at Blindwrite 5 which is the best (my thought) prog for burning securom 5/7 protected CD/DVD...
If you have the original DVD it should work ;)

i don't wanna copy the dvd - because i've the original dvd here at home.
i just want to get it to run - i'll get this f*** copy protection error - can't start the game...

there is a release of myst 5 by iNDUCT. but now i don't wanna download the whole game - i just need the cracked eoa.exe

does anybody know where i can get only the crack?

Yes you dont want to download the game.. That would mean you getting kicked from the forum.


Be patient a day, the crack will show up soon.


EDIT: I heard the warez release isnt cracked, so you have a bit longer to wait lol :P

If you get a error starting the game with original disc just set the compability to Windows 2000 for the eoa.exe!! then just start the game!! worked fine for me!!

thx!!! that trick really works

i managed to get arround that virtual drive detection by virtual cd hide (http://forum.copybase.ch/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=489) but everytime i start the game it said can't start the security module. with this w2k compatibility trick now i can play :)
