My problem:
I can change the resolution in the main menu (and the details), but when I start the game, it resets everything and I have to play in 640x480. I cannot change the resolution in the game, coz the menus don't fit to my screen. So it's impossible to apply the new settings with the ok button in the lower screen section.

Any idea?

Try installing the newest display drivers for your graphics card and adjust the resolution manually in the driver settings. Give it a try...
Maybe you should reset the monitor itself ?!

hi there,

here's the answer! but first: MY ENGLISH IS VERY BAD, SORRY!

change all your graphic details to minimum, then change your resolution to anything you want, then slowly change your grafic details back to maximum. the reason: if you change all your grafic details and the resolution to maximum and your grafic card does not support some selected features (e.g. my ati radeon 9500), all changes will be reset.

The previous poster is right. I had the same problem. Not maxing the shadow setting did the trick. Dunno why that is, but hey... Everything else is cranked way up
