GTA: SA v1.01 Patch Problem [Archive]

I currently have GTA: SA v1.0, which isn't patched and contains a lot of bugs. I decided to get the v1.01 patch but I encountered a problem: Can't update because file contents don't match or something like that. I use a FixedEXE because I don't want to put the DVD in over and over again. Could anyone tell me how to solve this?

If you had made a backup from your original EXE, then simply copy over the fixed EXE. If not then reinstall the game.

The update specifically states:

This updating can only occur when the original gta_sa.exe file is recognised.

So guess who didn't pay attention :p

Hey guys. Thx for replies. Well I thought that I wouldn't need the original EXE so I replaced it with the FixedEXE. Can you guys send the original to me so I dont have to re-install it. AIM:hudboyu GMAIL: onarutoo********com It takes sooooo long and I cant really find it in my stack of cd's/dvd's.

You will find the original exe from you original game disc.
