Hi,

Do all audio CDs now come with some form of copy protection on? I am trying to put my recently purcahsed albums onto my MP3 (usually use Media Player) but they wont play.

Im trying mainly with the new Coldplay album

Ok so.. first off media player doesn't convert to MP3.. only WMA.. If what you're saying is after you've converted your music to WMA and you attempt to transfer it to your MP3 player that may be the reason..

Or possibly you have copy protect music selected in your media player.. I believe it may be this way by default but i'm not sure... To check open media player select TOOLS/OPTIONS/select the COPY MUSIC tab/and make sure that "Copy Protect Music" is deselected

If you're simply trying to rip the album to your PC and all of the above is worked out you may have a different problem.. Explain more thoroughly exactly what you're attempting and maybe someone can help more.

Sorry typed in a rush so yeah not very clear!! Opps :o

My MP3 player plays WMA so no bother there, in fact I prefer M$ version as its slightly smaller with no loss in quality! And no I dont have the audio protection feature turned on.

The problem is basically ripping in the first place. The CD plays fine in the computer but tracks cannot be ripped off it.

The CD is apparently copy right protected..
See this article for info on how to get by.. Hope it helps.
