Hi guys,

I am currently using the No CD EXE for version 1.0 for Battlefield 2, if I install the new Battlefield 2 patch (1.2) will it update the No CD EXE so I can still play with no CD/DVD?

Thanks

No. Just install the game, patch it, and then mount MINI IMAGE from GCW in the latest Daemon Tools, & play... ;)

Which mini image?

The last image i used for ver 1.0 never worked, so i use a nocd crack and that worked. I tried DaemonTools and Alcohol120% tools yet the image was crap from GCW. i think we need a 1.2 nocd crack for ver 1.2

I couldn't get that Image lark to work either. After mounting the image in Daemon Tools you are left in an open directory. Closed it down and checked My Computer which shows BF2DVD in one of the drives yet the game doesn't work.
What are we all doing wrong ???

It works fine, just nobody does any research before giving up.

I've tried running the autorun & setup files on the newly created directory of the image, next was extracting the data files which produced an error message, can you suggest what else I should be doing ??? I am stumped as to what to do ?? Do you think it is just not compatible with some systems ???
I can get it to show the image as a drive but it still doesn't start the game ..

Here's how it works with the mini image:

1. Install the game from your original DVD
2. Start the game once
3. patch it
4. Mount the mini-image
5. close the window that opens (if it does)
6. start the game with your Desktop shortcut of from your startmenu

The mini-image is only to fool the .exe file that the disc is in the drive.
Any mini-image is a mini-image because it only contains the file structure but not the actual files from the disc. Therefore you can not extract any files from the image as the do not exists (they are only shown but thats the trick).

The mini-image will NOT allow you to run files from it, its just a disc image to fool the game into thinking you have your cd inserted into a drive.
