if you want more answer than that, you gotta search the forums for it bro. It has been discussed to death, HDL = HDLoader all the way.

ok, I'm dumping MGS3 to the HD using HDL as we speak. 13%, so far so good.

oh and how exactly do you use WINHIIP ? i have v. 1.7.3 or something, and even if i connect my crossover cable from the PS2 network adaptor to my PC, it WiNHIIP doesnt seemn to recognise that i have a PS2 connected up. all it sees are the 3 harddrives that i have in my PC.

is there a different program i could use, or am i just doing this wrong ?

thanks guys.

winhiip doesnt have network support (yet) you have to connect your HDD to your PC directly to an IDE cable.

heh, yeah, i found that out the hard way. ive been trying to use this HDL_DUMB, but theres some file you have to launch on the ps2, and so far i havnt found a really concise, foolproof explanation of how to do it.

When useing HDL_dumb's network feature you boot execftps on the ps2. However transfering games over a network is painfully slow, trust me I have done it, not to mention it can be buggie at times. Why not do it the fool proof way and install the HDD in your PC and use winhiip?

well i say if your already hooked up via network and you dont mind the wait then use winhiip. --patience is a good thing. thats what i do cuz im mad lazy and dont like to get on the floor to swap the hd out of the ps2 into the cpu--that being said.. that usb hdd hook-up IS the ****, real fast. but i usually start the x-fer over the network late at night watch a movie while it goes over and chill. btw hdlloader--no ???. demondus...you are soooo helpful.

You got winhiip to work over at network?

i did :D

got all my games on nicely, its a really nice program. only my burnt games though, i have alot of ISO's on my computer, I'll have to put my drive into my comp and do it with WINHIIP. only error ive had is this "low disk space", but you just say to install it again and it does it fine.

really nice, and alphabetical too.
