Strike Commander: Old timers, pls help

Hi

I dug out my 3.5" diskettes for strike commander a couple of days ago (yes, the Origin F-16 sim, following Wing Commander 1+2) and re-activated an old DOS-PC.

Now I'm stuck in the Alaska mission where you have to bust some tanks which are fighting a friendly tank force.

Does anyone remember how to distinguish friend from foe in that mission?
