View Full Version : Another GTA SA thread - new crack killed saves...
I downloaded the CRASH fix from GameCopyWorld that has a REG file in it.
Well, I applied it, and now I cannot load savegames, they are not showing up.
I tried EDITING THE REG file but no matter what I put in the path saved games still will not show up...
What do I do?
This is where the saved games are at C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files
How can I make the game use them?
You didnt read the nfo did you?
You can however copy the User folder to the root of the c:\
And rename the path to that.
Also remember when setting paths in a registry file the folders are double \
so c:\ will be c:\\

Besides the save game problem, does the game still crash on you or did you not have the crash problem in the first place?

Yeap, the game still crashes...and I don't have nForce, but Audigy 2. I play on both Windows XP Pro SP2, and Windows XP Pro x64, and the game crashes on both with cracked file OR with the original AND my system is not overclocked.

Well, since you say that the game still crashes with your non-overclocked system with your original CD, it still doesn't prove that the no-cd is entirely at fault for the crashes.
I wish someone who experienced crashes with the original no-cd leaves comments about the game crashing after using the new no-cd.

Hi guys,
I'm using Hoodlum's language fixed no-CD patches, I've done the first few missions, wandered through the available fourth (?) of the city so far, and no problems yet.
@Machina: I've just submitted a savegame dir patch to GCW: it redirects the saving of config and savegame files into the "SAVEDATA" subdirectory of the game installation directory, rather than the home directory or the currently logged in Windows user. I hope it will help you!
