Pool of Radiance 1.4

Hi all,
I'm looking for a nocd for Pool of Radiance V1.4 that actually works on WinXp please :)
I've tried the current version at GCW, but this crashes with a ntdll.dll error, which I'm pretty sure will only happen with WinXp.

I never could got game cracks to works on this game but I did with emulation

The problem with this game is that when you start ask to the cd on the drive you installed and no the meulation drive from but there are some entries in the registry you can modify to get to change the installation drive to th emulation drive I can remember ehat exactly was the entries because I haven't played this game in a long time but you should check in the registry but be careful

ok I reinstalled the game to help with the emulation thing but I installed it on my windows 98 partition because my xp partion is full at the moment I hope the registry entries don't change

This what you have to do:
Get a alcohol 120 or some program similar make an image with the safedisk profiler

make a full installation of the game if you haven't done yet

now open the regedit on windows but I suggest first export a registry backup (i just in case)

on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE search the software value and then you will see a a value called storrmfront studios inside there there another value called Pool of Radiance 2 inside this one appears this

InstallSource "D:\" ( or it could be another drive depends where you installed the game from)

just change the "D:\" value to the drive letter where is you virtual drive is (for example if your virtual drive is "F:\" change to that but bei carefull to not put an incorrect drive this is only an example)

then close the editor

I can't remember if its neceassry restart the machine or not

then mount the image on the correct virtual drive and should work

A mini-image is now on it's way to GCW (At least as soon as I finish uploading!), size of d/l is 2.42mb.

Thanks form the mini image man, this will help a lot of people since none of the nocd cracks available works and I'm glad my instructions to change drive worked too

Not a problem :D
That registry fix was probably the next place I would have gone after ripping the mini image; I just wondered if there were any working cracks out there on the net.
Secondly, I suspect that that image could probably go smaller; Anyone wishing to try, please do.
