everytime i boot it up i see at the top of the screen something about network adapter support? does that mean i can now play game images off the hdd online now?

No, some games used the NA originally without being used with HDL. This caused a conflict with some games when installed to the HDD and using HDL and the game as well as HDL were trying to use the NA at the same time.
