Rome total war: after patches

Hi friends, a question. I've searched around for a no cd crack but found only that referred to the 1.1 exe. Anyone knows if the old crack that are posted at gamecopyworld works also with 1.2, the latest patch, or if there is a more up-to-date files somewhere?

What you need to do is update the game to V1.2 and then use the V1.2 mini-image. You can not use a fixed .exe on V1.2 so no one made one. The V1.2 mini-image used to be posted here but I guess they took it down for some reason. If you would like it, I would have no problem making a torrent of it and sending you the torrent file so you can download it. I do think you should read this little snippet I wrote in another post about the update to V1.2. If you know this already then I apologize.

Installs from the cd images work with V1.0 and 1.1 because the cracked .exe has the emulation software check removed, but since theres no crack for V1.2 and you need to either use the mini-image or the full image, it will still do the emulation software check. It will install fine, but try running it and it will say something like "CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game." but even doing what it says wont work and neither will installed or playing with the emulation on. If installed with the cds burned from the images then one could play with either the full or mini image. So if you are still having problems, they should burn the images to cds(cd-rws will work just as well) then install from them.

If you did this, not to worry. A re-install from the burned cds would be fine and the uninstall leaves your preferences and saves so its no big deal. Also, if your thinking "I just wont update it to V1.2 then" you really should. Not so much for the technical fixes but the stat fixes make the game a lot less lop-sided to play. Id also like to throw in dont forget to UPDATE TO WMP 10.

Just reply here if you would like me to publish the torrent and send you the file. Also, heres more from the post I wrote that might make it a little easier to re-install.

It would all be a lot easier if this could all be installed from a DVD, right? So heres the instructions on how to do it and I also have the new patched "Rome - Total War(TM).msi" needed to replace the old one if you need it just tell me in your next post.

ROME: TOTAL WAR CD TO DVD CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS-

1) Copy ALL the files from CD1 to a directory. (ie: "C:\Rome_TW_DVD")

2) Copy ALL the files from CD2, except "autorun.inf", "Launch.exe", "Launch.ini" and the map "rsrc", from "setup", into the same directory as where you copied the files from CD1.

3) Copy ALL the files from CD3, except "autorun.inf", "Launch.exe", "Launch.ini" and the map "rsrc", from "setup", into the same directory as where you copied all the files from CD1 and CD2.

4) Copy over "Rome - Total War(TM).msi" with the included patched one.

5) Create a folder named "Updates" and place the V1.1 and V1.2 updates in it.

6) Create a folder named "Cracks" and place the V1.0 and V1.1 cracked .exes and V1.2 mini-image in it.

7) Burn all the files to a DVD or create an image and name it "ROME_TW_DVD"

**IMPORTANT - DVD or image MUST be named "ROME_TW_DVD" or it will not work!!

Hi thlcd. I've sent a private message to you but I post it also here.
For my shame I'm a total dumb in tech, i like only those simple .exe that make all the work by itself. So you push me in an absolutely unknown realm. If you are so kind to write ( and in broken english or globish, I'm in Italy) a step by step set of instructions, may be, I could get over my incompetence.

There ya go try that. Make sure if using Daemon or Alcohol to enable all emulation allowed.
