Serial number matching...

Hello,

I left my slim ps2 v12 at a friends house, and it appears that it has been switched. The sticker on the bottom identifying the serial number seems to be tampered with. I was wondering if there is any other way to get the serial number. I called sony, but they gave me no answer. The reason is that the extended warranty i purchased may be void because of this, and because there may be a problem with this ps2. I haven't seen anything yet, but who knows.

The Serial Number is normally on the box. On the standard PS2, they were on the bottom of the box, underneath a bar code. If that still applies, I have no idea, but it's on the box somewhere...

Well if you can find it try calling the place where you bought the warranty, They must know so they can warranty it.

Actually they scan the barcode under the PStwo through the hole in the box when you buy it.

I would complain at the place where you bought it. Demand a replacement and keep the warranty.
