Ok I just got an xbox and I am trying to softmod it cause i cant afford the chip rite now and i would like to back up the 4 games i bought with it.

Now my problem is i can not get the ftp to work..

Setting are as follows.

Computer

IP 192.168.0.1
SUB. 255.255.255.0
DNS left blank.

XBOX
IP 192.168.0.2
SUB 255.255.255.0

I open up cute ftp and try to connect but it keeps giving me an error.
what am i doin wrong?

I have a network card in my computer and hooked the xbox to it via cross over cable. and set the ip's.

can anyone help?

Do i have to change the dashboard somehow?

is that what the xbox says its coonnected at?
or is that what you set it at?
you have to make sure the xbox is set to static ip

i set the ip's my self on the xbox

what does it read as the current ip ( not what you set it at, i mean as evox says ur connected at)

I cant install evox cause i cant get into the xbox.

You can't just ftp to the xbox expecting it to work, it is not set up to accept connections. The softmode installs evox. Well, it installs a program that loads a hacked bios, which then loads evox. There are plenty of gamesave installers out there (the best is the audio exploit, as xbox live would still work).

How did you install the expoit, if you have?

I own the orginal 007 and i have the audio hack but i just dont know what to do next.

THere is the list of available exploits and the ones that will work for your xbox version (what ever that may be)

If you had already installed the exploit, there is a combonation or method in the soundtrack to initiate it.

ok so i have to do a few things.

1)Need a memory card.
2)make my controller usb.
3)degrade my dashboard. dash board is 5960. and i need
4920

Ok update this is where i am now.

I got my controller all wired up to accept usb. just need to find the correct hid drivers.

Got the krayzie 007 uex installer. cause of my current dashboard.

installed action replay.

As soon as i get this controller to work with xp i am goin to install the action replay drivers and copy the krayzie installer on to the memory card.

Then turn on the xbox copy the saved game on to the hard drive.

Then run 007 and start a new one. then exit and then restart it using load saved game and pick my krayzie installer and then I hope I can start playin backups.


Then going to ftp it and install some aps.
